Casting Updates for Fear The Walking Dead Season 2 and The Rocky Horror Picture Show Reboot

The zombies in AMC's Fear The Walking Dead are gaining ground as the calendar creeps closer to April 10th, the season two premiere date that will mark the return of faces both familiar and fresh. Today, two new actors were announced to appear in the second season of The Walking Dead companion series, while Fox's The Rocky Horror Picture Show reboot also added a new cast member.

TVLine reports that Dougray Scott (Hemlock Grove) has joined Fear The Walking Dead Season 2 in a recurring role. Details on his character have yet to be revealed, but there is speculation that he will portray "Casey, a decent man who believes in civility”, someone who "is confident in an unexpected position of authority." Will Forte’s “The Last Man on Earth” has set its midseason premiere date for March 6, replacing animated comedy “Bordertown” in the 9:30 p.m. Sunday timeslot.

The Fox comedy will pick up right where the fall finale left off. Phil Miller 2 (Boris Kodjoe) was undergoing appendix surgery and Phil/Tandy’s (Forte) astronaut brother Mike, played by Jason Sudeikis, was attempting to descend back to Earth.

On March 6, “Bordertown” will move to a new timeslot: 7 p.m. on Sundays.

Despite airing behind “Family Guy” as part of Fox’s Sunday lineup, “Bordertown” has produced low ratings thus far at 9:30 p.m., and is seeing very small gains in 3-day delayed viewing. Its first three episodes have »

Fox continues to fill out its cast for the upcoming TV remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with Christina Milian (Grandfathered) set to play Magenta and Annaleigh Ashford (Masters of Sex) portraying Columbia.

Production on the two-hour event special is set to get underway next month under director Kenny Ortega (High School Musical), while the cast includes Laverne Cox (Orange Is the New Black) as Dr. Frank-n-Furter, Victoria Justice (Zoey 101) as Janet, Ryan McCartan (Liv and Maddie) as Brad, Reeve Carney (Penny Dreadful) as Riff Raff, model Staz Nair as Rocky and Tim Curry as the Criminologist Narrator.

Grammy Award nominee Christina Milian has joined the cast of Fox's The Rocky Horror Picture Show as Magenta. Milian will play the castle's compliant maid, who, along with her brother, Riff Raff, plots a secret plan to return to their native planet of Transsexual. Reeve Carney (Penny Dreadful) has already been cast has Riff Raff.

Previously announced cast members include Laverne Cox (Dr. Frank-n-Furter, Orange Is the New Black), Victoria Justice (Janet, Victorious), Ryan McCartan (Brad, Liv and Maddie), Adam Lambert (Eddie, Glee), Staz Nair (Rocky, Game of Thrones), Annaleigh Ashford (Columbia, Sylvia, You Can't Take It With You, Masters of Sex) and Tim Curry, the original Frank-n-Furter, who returns as the show's Criminologist Narrator. Fox’s “Rocky Horror Picture Show” is filling out with the addition of Christina Milian, who’s been cast in the role of Magenta, Variety has learned.

Milian — who stars on Fox’s “Grandfathered” — joins the star-studded cast that includes Laverne Cox, Victoria Justice, Ryan McCartan, Adam Lambert, Reeve Carney, Staz Nair, Annaleigh Ashford and original “Rocky Horror” vet Tim Curry, who returns as the narrator.

Tim Curry returning to The Rocky Horror Picture Show for TV remake

Having made his name as Dr. Frank-n-Furter, Tim Curry is set to a return to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with Fox announcing that Curry will play the Criminologist Narrator in the network’s upcoming TV remake.

“I am very happy and excited to be a part of this new event”, said Curry in a statement during the announcement at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

Curry will join a cast that includes Laverne Cox (Orange Is the New Black) as Dr. Frank-n-Furter, Victoria Justice (Zoey 101) as Janet, Ryan McCartan (Liv and Maddie) as Brad, Reeve Carney (Penny Dreadful) as Riff Raff and model Staz Nair as Rocky.
