According to reports, actor Jeremy Renner aka 'Hawkeye' in the 'Marvel Cinematic Universe', will next play 'Old West' gunfighter 'John Henry "Doc" Holliday' for PalmStar Media, produced by Kevin Frakes:
"We are excited to re-introduce this classic American character to a whole new audience," said Renner, "by chronicling 'Doc Holliday’ and his incredible transformation from 'average Joe' dentist to a man who 'Wyatt Earp' called the ‘deadliest man with a six-gun'".
Adapting author Mary Doria Russell's novel "Doc", the film will take a closer look at the 'love triangle' between Holliday, his prostitute wife, 'Big Nose Kate Elder' and best friend, lawman 'Wyatt Earp'.
'John Henry Holliday' was born in 1851 in Griffin Georgia. In 1872, after earning his 'Doctor of Dental Surgery', he opened an office in Atlanta with a fellow graduate, but was diagnosed with tuberculosis.
