We've been touting the guilty pleasures to be derived from The CW's The Vampire Diaries for some time now, but if you haven't yet experienced them, now's your chance. Starting tonight, December 14 (8pm/7pm c), the network will be airing all ten of the episodes shown thus far this season, two each night.

Go back to the start and experience 145 years worth of awkward confessions, 25 "animal attacks," and over 300 longing looks. (You've got to love a show that pokes fun at itself like that!)

Here's the premise: Four months after a tragic car accident killed their parents, 17-year-old Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) and her 15-year-old brother, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), are still adjusting to their new reality. Elena finds comfort with her best friend Bonnie (Katerina Graham), frenemy Caroline (Candice Accola), and former boyfriend Matt (Zach Roerig), but Jeremy is trying to figure out why Matt's sister, Vicki (Kayla Ewell »

I hate posting just a few photos for an upcoming episode of The Vampire Diaries.  Because I'm just like you.  I want to see a lot of photos with the hot boys too.  So it disappoints me to say that I only have five promo photos for the November 19th new episode.  On the other hand, once you see them you'll be asking yourself "Where the heck has Stefan been hiding those arms?!  They barely look like they could fit under a sleeve."

In the meantime, if you want more Vampire Diaries goodness, check out the photos and sneak peeks for tonight's brand new episode.

TV Reviews: The Vampire Diaries 1.07: “Haunted” & 1.08: “162 Candles”

7 November 2009 10:12 AM, PST | Fangoria | See recent Fangoria news »

What is it about female vampires that consistently earn them a stake through the heart on The Vampire Diaries? It’s almost as though the show is attempting to (or maybe unconsciously?) make a statement about women and power... Either way, it appears that The Vampire Diaries is hell bent on offering audiences these wonderfully colorful characters for the sole purpose of ripping them away from us in less than an episode or two.

As anyone who is watching The Vampire Diaries knows, the two female vampires I’m referring to are Vicki Donovan (yep, Damon turned her… because he was bored) and Lexi (guest appearance by Arielle Kebbel), a vampire friend of Stefan’s who arrives in Mystic Falls at the beginning of episode 1.08, “162 Candles”, to celebrate Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) 162nd birthday. Episode 1.07, “Haunted”, is Vicki’s (Kayla Ewell) time to shine. Although her schizophrenic mood swings and »

Ah, the obligatory Halloween episode.  How ironic would it be if Stefan dressed up as a vampire?  That would be hilarious.  It looks like Elena has decided to go the 'sexy nurse" route, thus proving that this show definitely isn't the chaste Twilight.  We've got the synopsis for episode 1.07 "Haunted" for you, along with promo photos.  I wonder how closely this episode will mirror the book, because the Halloween haunted house (ie. school), was in there.

The rivalry between Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) escalates this week as more is revealed about the history between the two brothers, on this week's Vampire Diaries "Family Ties."  We've always known there is some – err – bad blood between the two, and the reasons have been taking form slowly.  Most obvious is the life-style changes.  Damon is addicted to the rush of the fresh kill, while Stefan battles constantly to maintain a more civilized vampire lifestyle.  In vampire sense, he's a vegan.  Click on through for more info a pulse pounding new clip.

TV Review: The Vampire Diaries 1.2 “The Night of the Comet”

18 September 2009 8:10 AM, PDT | Fangoria | See recent Fangoria news »

It looks like I may be eating my words before the fall television season is over. The Vampire Diaries episode 1.2, “The Night of the Comet”, aired on The CW last night, and much to my dismay there was a noticeable decline in the quality of the episode’s dialogue as compared to that of the series’ pilot. We are already well aware that the scenes in which Elena writes in her diary, with the obligatory voiceover by Nina Dobrev (Elena), are pretty hokey, but these sequences are acceptably contrived given the fact that the show is called The Vampire Diaries. Granted the diary sequences could benefit from some close-up shots of what Elena is actually writing rather than a series of wide establishing shots of Elena sitting in her room as she scribbles away, but this is The CW, not HBO.

My disbelief over the perceptible shift in dialogue of »
