Member of 1947 NFL Eastern Division Champion Philadelphia Eagles as well as 1948 and 1949 NFL Champion Eagles.
Played for for Philadelphia Eagles from 1943-1955. Was a member of the Philadelphia-Pittsburgh "Steagles" in 1943. Due to a manpower shortage caused by World War II, the NFL allowed the Philadelphia Eagles and Pittsburgh Steelers to merge for one season.
After his playing career ended, Kilroy went to work for the Boston (now New England) Patriots, starting as personnel director in 1971, and rising to general manager in 1970 and subsequently serving as vice president from 1983 to 1993. He was known as a top notch talent scout and was one of the founders of the National Football League Scouting Combine.
