This article may contain spoilers. After last week's surprise that Dr. Trevor Grant (James Callis) had used Jack Carter's (Colin Ferguson) cellphone to transport himself into the future, this week began to explore what effect his presence has had on present day Eureka. As if it were not damaging enough from the effects of Jack, Allison (Salli Richardson-Whitfield), Henry (Joe Morton), Jo (Erica Cerra) and Fargo's (Neil Grayston) visit to 1947, now that Dr. Grant is stuck in 2010, the unintended after-effects are being revealed. This article may contain spoilers. Helicopter parents were the theme of this episode with both Jack (Colin Ferguson) hovering over Zoe (Jordan Hinson) freaking her out at Harvard and Allison (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) hovering over Kevin (Meshach Peters) and nearly killing everyone in the process. Jack merely wanted to surprise Zoe at Harvard to reassure himself that she was the same Zoe as she was in the previous timeline. Other than a hair color change, she was. But being the same Zoe, she was rightfully suspicious of Jack's motives for suddenly showing up on her doorstep. Jack, to his credit, did not waiver nor did he reveal the alternate timeline debacle.
