Several stars of The Vampire Diaries - including Nina Dobrev ("Elena"), Ian Somerhalder ("Damon"), Paul Wesley ("Stefan"), Candice Accola ("Caroline"), Kat Graham ("Bonnie Bennett"), Michael Trevino ("Tyler"), Zach Roerig ("Matt"), Steven R. McQueen ("Jeremy"), and Matthew Davis ("Alaric") - attended yesterday's CW Upfront celebration in New York City, NY and talked a bit about what's to come in The Vampire Diaries Season 4 this fall. Speaking to E! Online, Nina Dobrev said that fans shouldn't quite expect the love triangle between "Elena," "Damon," and "Stefan" to be through just yet because she did take a rather brutal dip into the creek after making her big choice in the Season 3 Finale. Similarly, Candice Accola said that with the new development of "Klaus" being in "Tyler's" body, things might just get heated up in . »

It shouldn’t be so surprising that the red carpet for the CW’s upfront presentation yesterday in New York City earns our highest praise, even after seeing the stars attend the events for Fox, CBS and NBC. After all, two of our favorite shows were heavily repp’d. We mean The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural. The former had a lot of the series’ stars showing up, Ian Somerhalder, Steven R. McQueen, Paul Wesley, Katerina Graham, Nina Dobrev, Candice Accola, Michael Trevino and Zach Roerig included. Nina looked terrific in a very tight, satin cream Dolce & Gabbana dress, while boyfriend Ian rocked a Rogue T-shirt and leather jacket with jeans. Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles both suited up for the Supernatural stakes, but next time, shave, guys!
A few ladies from 90210 were also spotted — Shenae Grimes, Jessica Stroup and Jessica Lowndes. These were by no means the only shows that the CW presented. »

And we have clips! We tip our fedoras to The CW, the network with the highest our-kind-of-primetime-show count, second only to Syfy. Well done, The CW! And though they canceled one of our shows – sorry, The Secret Circle fans – they’ve brought in two more: The Arrow and Beauty and the Beast.
These new shows surround or maybe even caused a shift in scheduling for fall 2012. Supernatural fans especially, take note. The CW would like to take over our TVs on Wednesday, with DC Comics-based we’ve-been-waiting-so-long-for-this Arrow at 8/7c, followed by Supernatural at 9/8c. What a great pairing! And Not on a Friday, hooray! The CW, you are now granted our TVs on Wednesday nights.
Thursday nights will bring a return of the beloved The Vampire Diaries at 8/7c, paired with newbie Beauty and the Beast at 9/8c. Yes, yes, this also works for us, thank you! The »

The dust may still be settling from The Vampire Diaries season finale, but the stars of Tvd assembled like The Avengers in NYC in anticipation of the Vampire Diaries Season 4.
Today at the CW Network Upfront, we caught photos of all the leading stars of Tvd. It was great to see the cast steamroll the CW’s Green Carpet in full force. Nina Dobrev (pictured above) was wearing a stunning dress, while Ian Somerhalder did some fist pumps for the crowd (see gallery below). Paul Wesley became the people’s champ, giving out hugs to a few members of the press line who were also major Tvd fans. He also shared a little information for us to all look forward to, which I will share later today.
Dobrev, Wesley, Somerhalder, Kat Graham, Candice Accola, Steven R. McQueen, Michael Trevino and Zach Roerig were all on hand for the daytime festivities. »

The network is moving this year’s People’s Choice Award-winner for Best Network Drama, "Supernatural", to Wednesday nights at 9:00-10:00 p.m. Its lead-in will be new series "Arrow", starring Stephen Amell as the popular DC Comics character.
On Thursday nights The CW’s bloody-good drama "The Vampire Diaries" is back for more heart-stopping thrills and romance, followed by new series "Beauty And The Beast", starring Kristin Kreuk as a homicide detective and Jay Ryan as a doctor with a dark side… a really dark side.

Now that The Vampire Diaries' third season has ended (with a bang, mind you), Executive Producer Julie Plec is dishing out some of her and co-exec Kevin Williamson's plans for season four. Obviously, this information is filled with spoilers, so steer clear if you've still not seen last night's finale epsiode. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Plec discussed the showrunners' decision to end things the way they did and where season four will take the kids from Mystic Falls next. Here are the biggest five reveals: 1. "Matt" will make it, and "Elena" will transition Plec told EW that "for M ... The Vampire Diaries 3.22 "The Departed" Review
Like many viewers of the season 3 finale of The Vampire Diaries I think this might sum up that ending shjadfjvsgfjhgvjdkvmcbvbmnmhkl!?vhgxhfvsohv.
Yep that is how my brain is feeling after that stellar episode complete with an unexpected and huge twist. The writers and cast played the best misdirection in their promotion leading up to the finale with all the 'who will Elena choose?' discussions. While this was important to the narrative they made sure that the ending would put all that to one side for a moment. This really is an epic finale with so much action and emotional moments that ends season 3 on a high. Where to start?
As the love triangle element was the central focus prior to the episode that seems like the most appropriate place to begin. Flashbacks to her life before vampires and talking with Matt (Zach Roerig »

I think it's safe to say things will never be the same in Mystic Falls again. (So much for Elena's dream of a vampire-free life!) I believe I have the five words that perfectly sum up every viewer's reaction to the final moments of The Vampire Diaries' third season finale: "Did that really just happen?!" And the answer is "yes, it did." And it was awesome. Sure Elena (Nina Dobrev) finally made her choice between Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley), but by the time the credits rolled, I didn't really care anymore. My mind is now on one thing and one thing only: Elena Gilbert is a vampire. Meredith (Torrey DeVitto) gave her vampire blood, and then she died, and now she's a freakin' vampire! Ok, now breathe... and rewind: Like the most effed-up game of high school dodgeball ever, Alaric (Matt Davis) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) created two teams this week, »

Time for the last "producer's preview" of the season for "The Vampire Diaries". Watch exec producer Julie Plec introduce Episode 3.22, "The Departed", which promises to be a doozy of a season finale, in which - Spoiler Alert - someone does not survive.
"The Vampire Diaries" Episode 3.22 "The Departed" (5/10/12 Air Date; 8:00-9:00 Pm):
The Secret Hero — Determined to protect his sister, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) makes a decision that will change everything. In the harsh reality of the present situation, Elena (Nina Dobrev) longs for simpler times when her parents, Grayson (guest star Jason MacDonald) and Miranda (guest star Erin Beute), and Aunt Jenna (guest star Sara Canning) were still alive and her biggest concern was her relationship with Matt (Zach Roerig).
Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) leave Mystic Falls together on a mission but soon split up when Elena needs one of them.

Okay, "Vampire Diaries" fans... in two short days we'll find out who Elena (Nina Dobrev) chooses to be with -- at least for now. While we can promise that she does choose between the brothers, there's no telling, of course, how long the choice will "stick." This is television, and we may be having this same conversation in a year's time.
For now, though, our heroine is faced with the ultimate dilemma: a super-hot vampire who loves her, or a super-hot vampire who loves her. Don't you just hate when that happens?
Personally, here at Zap2it, we're rooting for Matt (Zach Roerig), who could provide a nice quiet life free of blood-drinking and brother drama, but we're pretty sure Elena has other ideas. When it comes down to it, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) are both good for Elena and bad for Elena. Let's take a look. »

Annalynne McCord, Mekhi Phifer and Holly Robinson Peete are among the stars who have jetted out to the Middle East to promote Israel.
Omar Epps, One Tree Hill star Paul Johansson and The Vampire Diaries' Zach Roerig are also enjoying the week-long vacation hosted by America's Voices in Israel, an organisation which invites Hollywood stars out to the Holy Land to bolster its image in the U.S.
Their visit began with a walking tour of Tel Aviv on Monday, followed by a stop at the Nalaga'at Center, a theatre for actors who are all deaf and blind.
McCord was especially moved by the talented troupe and took to her Twitter.com page to tell fans, "First day in Israel. Visited Nalaga'at Center Theatre for Actors who are deaf and blind. I was so touched."
Phifer added, "I'm out here in Israel having a blast! Handling business but enjoying the experience! It's beautiful out here... I might even get baptized (sic) in the Dead Sea!!" »

Adding to the promotional teaser released after last week's episode (3x21, "Before the Sunset") are two new web clips for this week's season finale episode of The Vampire Diaries (3x22, "The Departed"). In the first clip, "Elena" (Nina Dobrev) speaks with "Matt" (Zach Roerig) after she's woken from a dream about her sophomore year of high school. She apologizes to "Matt" for stringing him along and not making a decision about what she wanted from their relationship and also notes that she's doing the same thing to "Stefan" (Paul Wesley) and "Damon" (Ian Somerhalder). Last night's episode of The Vampire Diaries (3x21, "Before the Sunset") put into a motion a seemingly no-win situation between "Elena" (Nina Dobrev) and "Alaric" (Matthew Davis). Also arriving back on the scene is "Elijah" (Daniel Gillies), who asks "Stefan" (Paul Wesley) to trust him for some reason. The Vampire Diaries 3.21 "Before Sunset" Review
The penultimate episode of season 3 of The Vampire Diaries managed to get rid of one villain while setting up Elena's (Nina Dobrev) big decision for next week's finale. Of course it wasn't as clear cut as that and like the witches and the balance of nature; this show has loopholes that it is happy to use to create tension and danger at every turn. Last week we said goodbye to Alaric (Matt Davis) and while he is still in Mystic Falls this is not the Alaric that we are familiar with and so those misty eyed farewells still matter.
While our Alaric started life in Mystic Falls as a vampire hunter, he soon became very much like Elena in seeing that vampires aren't just monsters. This new vampire version of Alaric is how he probably wanted to be when he first came to town »

We've reached the penultimate episode of Season 3 of "The Vampire Diaries" -- and luckily, we can rest assured that we've got plenty more coming, because Season 4 was officially announced today. (Not that we were worried.) Last season, the second-to-last episode was a real heartbreaker, as we lost Jenna and John in one fell swoop.
This year, we said goodbye -- at least for now -- to Klaus, in a really powerful scene that showcased great performances from Joseph Morgan and Paul Wesley. I never thought we'd miss Klaus as much as Jenna, but the chemistry and delicious moral ambiguity he brought to the show are hard to come by. There's no telling if he's actually gone for good, because this show is twisty like that, but if tonight was his swan song, it was a great one.

In the final episodes of Season 3 of The Vampire Diaries, things are ramping up in major ways and, as per usual with the popular show, everyone is in jeopardy. Love triangles will come to a resolution, heroes and villains will be tested, some big mythology moves will happen, and there’s likely to be tears. During this recent interview to discuss where things are headed for the end of this season, executive producer/writer Julie Plec and co-stars Candice Accola, Michael Trevino and Zach Roerig talked about the extraordinary changes that the characters will be going through in their own emotional lives, personal lives, romantic lives and supernatural lives, along with what to expect from the finale. Julie Plec also shared that she and show co-creator Kevin Williamson already know how they would like the show to end, whenever that ends up being. Check out what they had to say after the jump, »

The Vampire Diaries 3.20 "Do Not Go Gentle" Review
Big dance events are generally high on the danger list in Mystic Falls and the Decade Dance is one of the most perilous as the past two seasons of The Vampire Diaries has shown us. This is an eventful night and despite the previous occasions these characters still attend and organize the event with such gusto that you would hope that one of these times there won't be death and destruction. Last season at the 60s dance Alaric (Matt Davis) was possessed by Klaus (Joseph Morgan), but unfortunately for our favorite history teacher it looks like this will be an even worse night and he didn't even get to go to the dance this year.
The Alaric story was front and center of tonight's episode but the tragic resolution was not one that I would have predicted, even though the writing has »

First off: Please don't read this article if you haven't yet seen this week's decade dance episode of "The Vampire Diaries." Go watch it, then come back, and we can all hold hands and share our feelings in the comments section. There will be spoilers after this paragraph.
The show always delivers when it comes to the dance episodes; they're always packed with romance and death and drama and trauma. "Do Not Go Gentle" was no exception to that as we said an emotional goodbye to Alaric (Matt Davis) -- and then were abruptly introduced to his darkest, most violent alter-ego.
The Alaric we knew and loved is dead and gone, unfortunately -- "The Vampire Diaries" producers aren't the type to give him such a powerful, emotional send-off only to bring him back a few episodes later. We're going to have to get used to the twisted, Original vampire version »
