David Andalman, born in Hattiesburg, MS, is a writer director known for American Milkshake, a Sundance '13 NEXT selection, that sold to Kevin Smith Movie Club and Phase 4 Films for day and date release. Smith called it "Welcome to the Dollhouse for fly guys" and "packed with laughs." The New York Times review was titled, "Young Man Shows His True Colors." Andalman directed the video (with Mariko Munro) False True Love that screened as part of the Whitney Biennial '14. He has also directed numerous shorts including The Braggart, distributed by IFC and written by bestselling author Domenica Ruta.

Lived at Oscar winner Barry Levinson's ranch in CT for 6 months while working on The Bay.
Attended Oberlin College where a short he directed his senior year starred filmmaker Ry Russo Young and was written by NYTimes Bestselling author Domenica Ruta.
Got his first job in film after Harold Ramis saw his short film The Braggart at the Austin Film Festival. Harold put him in touch with De Niro's producer Jane Rosenthal for whom he worked with for several years. Before this job for Resentful he was working at Starbucks in Austin, Texas.
