"All this is Andròn - the quest for the contenders." The first trailer has debuted for an interesting sci-fi film called Andròn - The Black Labyrinth, or just Andron. It's about a dark, claustrophobic maze being run by Alec Baldwin, who broadcasts the fights of the various contenders hoping to survive. This seems like some weird mash-up of Cube and The Hunger Games, with a dose of The Maze Runner because of course. The ensemble cast includes Michelle Ryan, Danny Glover, Leo Howard, Gale Harold, Antonia Campbell-Hughes, Gaia Scodellaro and Margareth Madè. There are some cool moments in this (the opening looks great) but I'm not sure if it'll be any good, especially with such a low IMDb rating. Fire it up. Here's the first trailer for Francesco Cinquemani's Andròn - The Black Labyrinth, found on YouTube: A group of people are plunged into a dark, claustrophobic maze, where they must fight to survive, »

With the success of "The Hunger Games" and "The Maze Runner" franchises, there's inevitable low-budget films trying to copy that style - one of which is Italian filmmaker Francesco Cinquemani's UK sci-fi film "Andron - The Black Labyrinth". Today, the trailer for it has dropped.
Alec Baldwin is the President Snow of this particular film, one in which a group of people are plunged into a dark, claustrophobic maze, where they must fight to survive as the outside world watches. Michelle Ryan, Danny Glover, Leo Howard, Gale Harold, Antonia Campbell-Hughes, Gaia Scodellaro and Margareth Made also star in the film which hasn't set a release date as yet.

"Andròn" apparently was on the festival circuit last year, but this is the first I'm hearing of its existence. But at any rate, the sci-fi movie now has a trailer and the compelling point of interest is Alec Baldwin, who takes a starring role in the kind of genre movie he doesn't generally do. TNT has given an 10-episode order to a new Tales From the Crypt series, based on the original EC Comics, the network announced Thursday. Much like the first Tales series, which ran from 1989 to 1996 on HBO, this updated version will also feature chilling tales told by the aforementioned Crypt Keeper.
Additionally, TNT has ordered a pilot for Time of Death, another anthology series with a truly twisted hook. Paraphrasing wouldn’t do it justice, so here’s the official description:

Who will win the role of a young Han Solo? According to The Hollywood Reporter, tests were conducted in London last weekend involving actors Alden Ehrenreich, Jack Reynor and Taron Egerton. It's unclear if they were costume tests or screen tests, and sources also revealed that there could be a few other names on the list. Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!), Reynor (Transformers: Age of Extinction) and Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service) are said to be the frontrunners. Neither Egerton nor Ehrenreich's names were mentioned in December 2015, though, when The Hollywood Reporter first reported that the casting net included Reynor, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ansel Elgort, Tom Felton, Dave Franco, Colton Haynes, Leo Howard, Logan »
...and then there were three (and maybe a few others). Disney has been holding "secret" auditions and tests for the lead of the "young Han Solo" spinoff movie for its "Star Wars" franchise, and the list of contenders bandied about has featured names like Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort, Dave Franco, Scott Eastwood, Logan Lerman, Emory Cohen, Blake Jenner, Nick Robinson, Colton Haynes, Max Thieriot, Leo Howard, Tony Oller, Chandler Riggs, Hunter Parrish, Rami Malek, Landon Liboiron, Ed Westwick, Tom Felton and Joshua Sasse (phew!) but it appears that the studio has found their final three. Today we have a new report from Star Wars News Net that claims two more actors are up for the role, who weren't previously mentioned, Taron Egerton and Alden Ehrenreich. But there may be an unexpected twist that no one saw coming!
Last year, Taron Egerton mentioned that he would love to play Han Solo in the upcoming Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo, but he wasn't among the several actors mentioned who had auditioned for the role. Others who reportedly tested to »

Yesterday, a new report revealed Disney and LucasFilm's casting short list for their second Star Wars spinoff Han Solo. The studio has already set a May 25, 2018 release date, with production scheduled to begin in January 2017. Buried within Variety's report is an intriguing yet unconfirmed detail, which claims that whoever lands the Han Solo role will also make an appearance in this year's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
The report claims there is still one month left of principal photography on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and that Han Solo may have a small cameo in this spinoff, before moving on to the Han Solo standalone. Both Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the Han Solo spinoff take place in the waning years between Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. With Star Wars: The Force Awakens currently shredding box office records left and right, fan interest in this beloved franchise has never been higher. Production is still under way on the first spinoff Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which hits theaters this December, with filming starting soon on Star Wars: Episode VIII, in theaters May 2017. After those two adventures arrive, Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo is set to debut in May 2018, which offers new insight into the iconic Han Solo character, set 10 years before Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. Today, Variety reports that Disney and LucasFilm are close to finding the actor who will play the young Han Solo, with the short list narrowed down to approximately a dozen candidates.
