That’s the question that TruTV’s “Talk Show the Game Show” asks when it premieres on April 5. When stars visit late-night talk shows to promote a project or themselves, they need to play nice to win over the host, Guy Branum (“Chelsea Lately,” “The Mindy Project”) and audience. “Talk Show the Game Show” awards them for these skills.

Janicza Bravo's Comedy 'Lemon' Acquired by Magnolia

Magnolia Pictures is taking a bite out of Lemon, acquiring North American rights to Janicza Bravo's feature directorial debut.

The film, written by Bravo and Brett Gelman, will be released later this year. It screens next at SXSW.

Lemon follows Isaac Lachman (Gelman), a 40-year-old man immobilized by the mediocrity in his life. His career is going nowhere, his girlfriend of 10 years is leaving him, and his family is overbearing. Isaac once had big dreams, but now just watches his life unravel.

Magnolia Pictures Acquires Sundance Breakout ‘Lemon’ Ahead of SXSW

Ahead of its screening at SXSW on Friday evening, Magnolia Pictures has acquired North American rights to “Lemon,” the feature directorial debut of Janicza Bravo.

Bravo co-wrote the screenplay with actor and husband, actor and comedian Brett Gelman, who also stars in the film. “Lemon” had its world premiere at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and opened the International Film Festival Rotterdam.

The film follows Isaac Lachman (Gelman), a 40-year-old man crippled by the mediocrity in his life. He has hit the wall in his career, his girlfriend of ten years is leaving him, his family is overbearing, so he idly watches as his once dream-filled life begins to deteriorate.

Ahead of its screenings at this week’s SXSW Film Festival, Magnolia Pictures has acquired North American rights to “Lemon,” the feature directorial debut of Janicza Bravo. Bravo also co-wrote the screenplay with actor Brett Gelman (Gelman also stars in the film and is Bravo’s husband). The film bowed back in January at the Sundance Film Festival and then went on to screen at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.

‘All Nighter’ Trailer: J.K. Simmons and Emile Hirsch Are Forced to Get Along in Search of a Missing Woman

Before we get to see J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon in “Justice League,” he’ll do some investigating in the comedy “All Nighter.” The first trailer for the film introduces viewers to Simmon’s character Mr. Gallo, a globe-trotting businessman who goes in search of his missing daughter.

The clip begins with Simmons meeting his daughter Ginnie’s (Annaleigh Tipton) awkward boyfriend, Martin (Emile Hirsch), who plays the banjo and spills a drink all over him. Cut to six months later and he finds out Ginnie is missing after he visits her boyfriend’s place and discovers that she broke up with him. The story continues as the two go in search of her, forced to get along, but forming an unlikely friendship along the way.
