The actor/singer/composer/musician died suddenly while on stage in Barcelona, Spain. He was touring Europe performing "Looking for Josephine Baker".

Studied at Juilliard School of Music and performed on the local stage in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Appeared on Broadway in the musicals "Hello Dolly" with Pearl Bailey, "Timbuktu" and "Sweet Bird of Youth".

Was in Barcelona performing in "Looking for Josephine" at the Tivoli Theatre at the time of his death. He was stricken while onstage and died shortly after offstage.

The very tall, odd-looking actor had polio as a child.

Had Broadway roles in "Timbuktu," "Sweet Bird of Youth," "Mahoganny" and "Hello, Dolly!".
