Pop has renewed a cappella competition series “Sing It On” for a second season with an eight-episode order. Pop announced the pickup on Monday.
“Competing in collegiate a cappella provided building blocks for my career as a performer and started the foundation of life-long friendships. ‘Sing It On’ captures all of the emotion and excitement of the Icca competition, in addition to covering the personal stories and friendships that make a cappella a true community,” said Legend, who is former member of UPenn’s a cappella group Counterparts, which made it to the Icca finals in 1997.
