Three Character Posters For Inhumans Introduce Part Of Marvel’s Royal Family

If you happened to catch Sunday’s premiere of Game of Thrones season 7, “Dragonstone,” you likely felt the echoes of one Ramsay Bolton.

Iwan Rheon’s unruly bastard terrorized much of Winterfell throughout the course of the show’s sixth season, and was ultimately left at the mercy of his own hungry hounds – much to the delight of Jon Snow, Sansa Stark, and Thrones‘ massive following. It’s a credit to Rheon, then, that the character of Ramsay Bolton was brought to life with a palpable menace, and his performance hasn’t gone unnoticed, as the actor is poised to play the juicy role of Maximus the Mad on Marvel’s Inhumans series.

Pegged for a premiere on September 29th following a two-week spell in select IMAX theaters, the small-screen family drama is comprised of eight episodes in total, and on the eve of San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel has today »

Marvel's Inhumans: what we discovered on the set

12 July 2017 6:17 AM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Kayti Burt Jul 13, 2017

Den of Geek visited the Hawaiian set of The Inhumans TV show. Here's what we learned...

Lost may have been the TV show that made filming in Hawaii cool, but the island state has become a popular filming location in the years since. Hawaii Five-0 films there. The upcoming Jumanji reboot movie used the exotic exteriors as the backdrop for the video game its young characters get pulled into. And now The Inhumans calls the beautiful locale home, the show's main characters forced there after a miltary coup has them thrown out of their Moon-based city of Attilan.

That set-up alone might seem to make Inhumans a hard narrative sell. It's hard to muster up too much sympathy for the Moon's one-percenters forced to live on an island paradise. But the Royal Family's chief struggle comes in another, more relatable form: the challenge of keeping their family together amidst betrayal, »

The Flickering Myth Reaction to the first trailer for Marvel’s Inhumans

The Flickering Myth team react to the first trailer for Marvel’s Inhumans

Marvel’s Inhumans series dropped its first trailer yesterday [watch it here] and the online reaction has been overwhelmingly negative.  What did the Flickering Myth staff think of this first look?  Read on to see how much our writers matched up with public opinion…

Shaun Munro: Scott Buck’s the showrunner, so of course this looks and plays incredibly flat. It did almost nothing for me, unfortunately. I imagine the IMAX treatment will just enhance how cheap it all looks.

Tai Freligh: I know nothing about the Inhumans at all, so I went into this trailer with no preconceptions. It looks somewhat interesting, but I’m not sure I can handle another show where Iwan Rheon plays a Ramsay Bolton type of character. If so, I’d be rooting for him to get killed off right away as I can’t handle more of that. »

Marvel’s Inhumans poster offers first glimpse of Attilan

We’re yet to see a first trailer for Marvel’s Inhumans, but we do have a brand new poster for the ABC and IMAX series, which offers up a glimpse of the Inhumans’ home of Attilan. Check it out here via Cbm…

In the comic books, the mobile city of Attilan was originally located in the Atlantic Ocean, before moving to the Himalayas and finally the Blue Area of the Moon where it currently resides. Judging by the poster’s colour scheme, that’s certainly a possibility in the series too.

Henry Ian Cusick confirms that he’s joined Marvel’s Inhumans

15 June 2017 12:37 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Lost and The 100 star Henry Ian Cusick has revealed to CinemaBlend that he’s set to appear in ABC and IMAX’s upcoming Marvel series Inhumans.

“I play a geneticist and his name is Dr. Evan Declan and he’s human,” states Cusick. “I think that says quite a lot already, if you know the comics, you know where the Inhumans are coming from, so that’s pretty much my character.”

Dr. Declan appears to be an original character rather than someone from the comic books, and it’s not clear whether he’ll be portrayed as an antagonist, or an ally to the Royal Family. Perhaps we’ll learn more about his role when we get to see the first trailer…

Former Lost Star Henry Ian Cusick Reportedly In For Marvel’s Inhumans

2 June 2017 6:12 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

If the show’s IMDb page is any indication, former Lost star Henry Ian Cusick has landed a role in Marvel’s Inhumans series.

First spotted by Screen Rant, Cusick is purportedly one of three new additions to the fold – the other two being Michael Buie (Grey’s Anatomy) and Tanya Clarke (Banshee) – with Cusick credited as Dr. Evan Declan. He’s one of the few entirely original characters written for Marvel’s Inhumans series, and will seemingly feature in six of the show’s eight episodes. As for Buie and Clarke, they’re attached to play the parents of Black Bolt and Maximus, the warring siblings who threaten to cause an upheaval for the people of Attilan. Expect to see Buie and Clarke embody King Agon and Queen Rynda, respectively.

Word is that Inhumans recently wrapped filming on its final episode, so it shouldn’t be too long before »

Inhumans Trailer Tease Continues To Peel Back The Many Layers Of Marvel’s Royal Family

23 May 2017 2:35 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

If Marvel had any intention of retaining some semblance of intrigue and mystery before debuting the first-look trailer for Inhumans, they’ve failed spectacularly.

That’s not to say that the finger of blame should be pointed solely in the studio’s direction, far from it – untimely leaks and the superhero genre practically go hand in hand at this point. Nevertheless, it’s fair to say that the avalanche of screenshots and leaked scenes – coupled with those detailed descriptions of entire sequences – have threatened to steal some (all?) of the thunder away from Marvel and ABC’s starry new series before it’s even arrived.

But the first trailer is coming – very soon, in fact, now that Marvel’s Facebook channel has churned out a brief trailer tease in which Iwan Rheon’s Maximus the Mad continues to plot his brother’s (Anson Mount) downfall. That sibling rivalry looks set »
