We know how “Game of Thrones” regulars Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams nabbed their roles on the hit HBO fantasy series. Now we have glimpses into the auditions of almost a dozen of the show’s other supporting actors. In the compilation video below, 11 performers give their all to readings for the characters they would go on to make iconic. Pedro Pascal uses his laser-like focus to make Oberyn Martell his and only his. Natalie Dormer practically scorches the camera lens with her sizzling sex appeal as Margaery Tyrell. And Kristofer Hivju books the role of the formidable Tormund Giantsbane without so much as a word; a simple biting into, and spitting out, a carrot will do. But it’s Gwendoline Christie who appears the most fully formed in the few seconds we see of her audition. The way she sneers at her poor line reader not only proves she can embody Brienne of Tarth, »

"Game of Thrones" only recently ended Season 5 and they are just starting Season 6, so there was no footage to show at Comic-Con and no major spoilers shared at the panel. However, after the Comic-Con panel, HBO's Making Game of Thrones asked several cast members two questions: 1) What GoT scene would they have loved to have been in, and 2) What one-word tease would they give for Season 6, based off the newly delivered scripts? Read the full story for the scene answers, but we're all about Season 6 right now so we wanted whatever hints they could share from the scripts.
It's interesting to learn who hadn't even read the pages by that point. Hannah Murray (Gilly) said she hadn't received her scripts yet. "Mystery, would be a good word. We don't do hard copies anymore because of security but I think they're on their way." John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) read his scripts and gave this description: "Rich. »

This, in turn, leads to challenges when casting notable roles, with many curious to know what successful auditions for the show look like.
To that end, HBO has now released an audition roll of various performers who inhabited iconic roles on the show. The clip includes Pedro Pascal, who played Oberyn Martell, Natalie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell, and Rose Leslie, who played Ygritte. The audition roll can be seen below.
