Katniss Will Make Jon Snow Pay In This 'Hunger Games' And 'Game Of Thrones' Mashup - MTV

27 July 2015 4:18 PM, PDT | Twilight Examiner | See recent Twilight Examiner news »

There are approximately 295 reasons why “The Hunger Games” and “Game of Thrones” deserved to Finally be mashed up, chief among them: 1. They both feature prominent characters named Snow who’ve snared up a lot of enemies with their controversial leadership decisions; 2. They share not one but two actresses — Natalie Dormer as Margaery Tyrell in “GoT” and Cressida in “Mockingjay” and Gwendoline Christie as Westeros’ badass Brienne of Tarth and Panem’s Commander Lyme; 3. And they each boast rapt audiences who can be found cosplaying in their bedrooms on any given Wednesday and otherwise raising the bar on fandemonium. And, at last, the Katniss vs. Jon Snow extravaganza has made its way into our lives by way of “The Hunger Game of Thrones: Jon Snow Must Die,” »

Watch: 11 Actors Nailing Their ‘Game of Thrones’ Auditions

24 July 2015 9:00 AM, PDT | backstage.com | See recent Backstage news »

We know how “Game of Thrones” regulars Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams nabbed their roles on the hit HBO fantasy series. Now we have glimpses into the auditions of almost a dozen of the show’s other supporting actors.  In the compilation video below, 11 performers give their all to readings for the characters they would go on to make iconic. Pedro Pascal uses his laser-like focus to make Oberyn Martell his and only his. Natalie Dormer practically scorches the camera lens with her sizzling sex appeal as Margaery Tyrell. And Kristofer Hivju books the role of the formidable Tormund Giantsbane without so much as a word; a simple biting into, and spitting out, a carrot will do. But it’s Gwendoline Christie who appears the most fully formed in the few seconds we see of her audition. The way she sneers at her poor line reader not only proves she can embody Brienne of Tarth, »

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 76th Hunger Games," Finnick Odair murmurs darkly in the new trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2.

Though the government-sanctioned Games are officially behind them, Katniss and her fellow rebels find themselves walking once again into a rigged battlefield laden with traps, as they make their final descent on the Capitol to overthrow President Snow.

Below, Digital Spy picks out 8 talking points from this trailer for The Hunger Games' final chapter.

1. Katniss & Peeta reunited

There is hope, Everlark shippers! Despite Katniss being strangled half to death by a brainwashed Peeta last time we saw them, the pair are seen getting close again – and even sharing a mid-battle kiss.

2. President Snow remains a creepy bastard

"My dear Miss Everdeen, I've been watching you, and you watching me…" Shudder. The endlessly sinister relationship between Snow and Katniss feels like a framing device as sorts for this finale, »

'Game of Thrones' Season 6: Actors Share Exciting One-Word Script Teases

15 July 2015 4:40 AM, PDT | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

"Game of Thrones" only recently ended Season 5 and they are just starting Season 6, so there was no footage to show at Comic-Con and no major spoilers shared at the panel. However, after the Comic-Con panel, HBO's Making Game of Thrones asked several cast members two questions: 1) What GoT scene would they have loved to have been in, and 2) What one-word tease would they give for Season 6, based off the newly delivered scripts? Read the full story for the scene answers, but we're all about Season 6 right now so we wanted whatever hints they could share from the scripts.

It's interesting to learn who hadn't even read the pages by that point. Hannah Murray (Gilly) said she hadn't received her scripts yet. "Mystery, would be a good word. We don't do hard copies anymore because of security but I think they're on their way." John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) read his scripts and gave this description: "Rich. »

Video of the Day: Watch the audition reel for several ‘Game of Thrones’ performers

13 July 2015 7:14 AM, PDT | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

Over the course of its five-season run, the HBO fantasy adaptation Game of Thrones has received critical and commercial praise for many facets, with the performances in particular being singled out. However, the fantasy nature of the show has often meant that the characters and their surrounding environment are very context-specific. This, in turn, leads to challenges when casting notable roles, with many curious to know what successful auditions for the show look like.

To that end, HBO has now released an audition roll of various performers who inhabited iconic roles on the show. The clip includes Pedro Pascal, who played Oberyn Martell, Natalie Dormer, who plays Margaery Tyrell, and Rose Leslie, who played Ygritte. The audition roll can be seen below.
