Fernando Lara was born in Laredo, Texas to a Kickapoo Native American mother and a Mexican American father. Fernando first walked onto the stage at the age of 4 at George Washington Carver Elementary school in Dallas, Texas. He has continued his stage career to this very day, working in every capacity in theater, from Actor, Stage Manager, Producer and Sound Designer. Fernando made his television debut at the age of 5, appearing on the first three episodes of Sesame Street. Since graduating from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 1982, Fernando has appeared in many films, Fernando also works behind the scenes in the film industry and to this day has produced 2 films. Fernando is in pre-production to produce 4 more films in 2012 and 2013.

Formed the underground 80s rockgroup The Blind with fellow bandmate, film director, producer and actor Christian Mcintire.
Graduated from the High School of Performing Arts (Booker T. Washington) in Dallas, Texas in 1982.
Graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in 1982.
Graduated from Booker T. Washington High School with fellow classmates Edie Brickell and Depak Pallana.

Was the drummer for the underground rock group The Blind.
Although possessing an IQ of 160, Fernando ranked last in his high school graduating class. When asked about this several years later, Fernando remarked, "I didn't review for the test".
