Justin Sloan is a screenwriter who has staffed on Roku's Cypher (Season 2) and DJ2 Entertainment's TV-hybrid titled Rival S/Peak and is currently a writer on EA's next Battlefield campaign.
He wrote on such narrative-driven games as Game of Thrones (nominated Best Storytelling at the 2015 Golden Joystick Awards), Tales from the Borderlands (nominated for Best Narrative at The 2015 Game of the Year Awards and won IGN's Best Adventure Game of 2015), Walking Dead, and Minecraft: Story Mode (Kid's Choice Awards 2016 and 2017). Justin also wrote for various mobile, hybrid, and new media games, to include PlanetQuest and Project Kyzen.
He studied creative writing with a focus on fiction at the Johns Hopkins Krieger School of Arts and Sciences Master of Arts in Creative Writing, and writing for television at the University of California, Los Angeles Professional Program in Screenwriting. Justin has published over fifty novels, and they have ranked as high as the top 50 on all of Amazon and number 1 in multiple bestseller categories.
Justin's path toward creative was preceded by five years as a cryptologic linguist with the Marines, an MA in International Relations and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), and work in post-conflict reconstruction and then as an Asia analyst with the Federal Reserve. He lived in Japan, Italy, and Korea, and traveled the world in his free time.
Justin is proud to have participated in the Writers Guild Foundation's Veterans Writers Project, Netflix Animation Foundation Program, the Presidential Management Fellowship, and the Respectability Summer Program for Professionals in Entertainment with Disabilities.
