Working in every field of production that concerns historical military aspects I have a unique skill in the industry.
I am equally at home checking scripts for historical accuracy, personally designing and building items of costume, instructing extras in drill and fighting techniques or planning large-scale action sequences. I have acted as chief historical consultant for several History Channel programs and have become well known as a "talking head" on A&E, Discovery, History and Spike TV.
A large personal library including antique books and illustrations, which constitute an invaluable reference and image library. My collection also includes original uniforms and weapons from the late 18th to mid 19th century some of which are available for film and TV use. I have also written two books and many articles on historical subjects and written, produced and presented various mini features for PBS.
Working with the Louisiana State Museum Foundation and the National Park Service as Producer/Director I staged the historical re-creation of the transfer of the Louisiana Territory on December 20th 2003 in the city of New Orleans.
Wrote and produced New Orleans 1815 the bicentennial of the Battle of New Orleans in 2015 a re-creation of the 5 major land battles of the New Orleans campaign featuring 1,600 performers over three days. We also constructed a 25 acre purpose built battlefield which is now available as a film set with a 360o tree screen and excellent road access and parking for base camp vehicles.
I served as Military Costumer to the movie The Free State of Jones and as Military Historical Adviser and Costumer , and on set Battle co-ordinator for the TV series Roots (2016).
