- Only wrote one song for Bad Company--1979's "Gone Gone Gone", from the "Desolation Angels" album.
- Bass guitarist with Bad Company and King Crimson.
- Final member to join the classic four-man Bad Company group.
- Although he was part of Bad Company's classic lineup, the band was initially reluctant to let him join, as they were not fond of Burrell's previous band, King Crimson. He was at the bottom of the band's "potential bassists" list. When they discovered how well he could play bass, and keep up with the rest of the band without any help, they hired him immediately.
