The Black Bar Mitzvah Renders Rick Ross Too Prolific to Comprehend

8 October 2012 9:56 PM, PDT | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

Six days into 2012, Rick Ross dished up the 80-minute Rich Forever and got the likes of Slate and the New York Times writing seriously and thoughtfully about a free mixtape. In June, Ross headlined Self Made Vol. 2 alongside his Maybach Music Group stable, appearing on nearly every track. A month later came the chart-topping fifth studio album God Forgives, I Don't. (Along the way, Ross released a music video roughly every week, turned in verses for Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Usher, and DJ Khaled, and continued his quest to rhyme-ify every food in existence.) Now Rozay has another magnificently titled and cover-arted mixtape, The Black Bar Mitzvah, up for grabs. That brings the Boss's tally, in just nine months, to one solo LP, a crew album, a record disguised as a mixtape, and a regular mixtape. Should we somehow thank the seizure, or wonder if a completely »

With just over two weeks to go until the release of G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer, the tracklisting has finally been revealed. Of course, the usual suspects all show up here as G.O.O.D. Music members like Kanye West, Big Sean and Pusha T are featured on a number of the tracks.

In addition to the star studded hip-hop group, we also get some other big names making appearances as the team has brought on artists like R. Kelly, The Dream, Jay-z and Jadakiss, among others, to help out.

All in all, it looks like a very solid tracklisting and it has me very excited for the September 18th release date. I’m particularly looking forward to the Kanye/Jay-z/Big Sean track.

Check out the tracklisitng below and let us know what you think in the comments.

New Kanye West Video Features Sexy Kim Kardashian Look-alike

27 August 2012 1:38 PM, PDT | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

Kanye stars in Fat Joe's latest video, 'Pride N Joy' with a slew of other rappers -- and a curvaceous woman that looks like Kim! Fat Joe's latest song isn't short on star power! Kanye West, Busta Rhymes, Ashanti, DJ Khaled, Roscoe Dash, Miguel and Jadakiss all collaborated on the three-minute music video, directed by Hype Williams. The video also features a dark haired brunette beauty that closely resembles Kanye's girlfriend, Kim Kardashian. Interestingly, the song's opening lyrics, "And even if she's all about the money I don't really care / I got a lot of money it's enough of it that we can share / You're still my pride and joy," sound somewhat similar to Kanye's relationship with the reality starlet. Kanye West tackles 'I Wish You Would'/'Cold' vid with Rick Ross, DJ Khaled... and Kim Kardashian

14 August 2012 3:25 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

I'd recommend you take seizure inhibitors before checking out the music video to DJ Khaled's "I Wish You Would" combined with Kanye West's "Cold," but, actually, the clip itself is the seizure. It may comfort you to know that Hype Williams probably earned a pretty penny for shooting Ye, Khaled, Rick Ross and (for a moment only) Kim Kardashian in a dank brick tunnel with a shake-cam. But then again, it's Hype Williams: dude generally gets a pass. The tracks together are less of a combination and more a pair of convenience. Kanye West takes up most of the screen time, while Khaled »

Kim Kardashian Crashes Kanye West's Music Video During Kris Humphries Diss

14 August 2012 1:34 PM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West know the meaning of strategic placement. And if you've been Keeping Up With Kimye, then you know just how much West loves to show off and spoil his "Perfect Bitch"—and his latest music video is no exception. In the new music video for "I Wish You Could/Cold", a hybrid of songs by DJ Khaled, Rick Ross and Mr. West, Kim pops up at the end of the video in an, er, unusual spot. Remember, the song "Way Too Cold" (née "Theraflu") is the anthem where Kanye publicly announced his love for Kim and even implied that he could have Kim's ex, Kris Humphries, removed from the New York Jets—the power forward recently signed a two-year »

Nicki Minaj loves the ones she's with, because she's been bringing out a whole slew of Young Money crew (and others) at her concerts lately. Just last night (July 24) in Miami, Lil Wayne and Birdman dropped in on the Mc's show. The former was around for tracks like "Pop That" and "Take It to the Head," a track from DJ Khaled. And wouldn't you know it? The go-to DJ was also in the house -- though, no Chris Brown or Rick Ross. That's almost nothing compared to Minaj's show in Atlanta over the weekend: the pop-rap crossover starlet trotted out »

Kanye West, Rick Ross and DJ Khaled team for 'I Wish You Would'

28 June 2012 4:59 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

DJ Khaled has teamed with his famous friends Kanye West and Rick Ross for the brand new "I Wish You Would."  The repetitive, bass-heavy track has plenty of both rappers, and too many hooks to even count.  Khaled collaborated on the track with white hot producer Hit Boy, who helmed West and Jay-z's "N*ggas in Paris," but it lacks that song's irresistible quirkiness and joie de vivre. Listen here: Kanye kicks things off by doing a dirty, autotuned nursery rhyme, before declaring that "every year gonna our year/every year gonna be my year." Lots of threats follow -- hence the title. It's noticeably »
