Four up-and-coming talents in the New York City playwriting world are under the spotlight Aug. 24 and 25 over at Primary Stages Einhorn School of Performing Arts (Espa). The Duke on 42nd Street, the Off-Broadway company’s main stage, will play host to the 2015 Espa Drills Reading Series, featuring the work of playwrights Lawrence Dial, Emily Daly, Karina Richardson, and Blake Hackler. Drills is one of many programs central to the school’s mission to nurture, support, and honor emerging NYC-based writers, directors, and actors. Now in its sixth year, the series provides professionally staged readings of four new plays workshopped and cast by Espa staff and performed before an audience of other industry pros.
