When the “Scandal” crew returned to PaleyFest to celebrate its upcoming 100th episode, the starts both teased the landmark ep and strolled down memory lane. Most of the show’s current cast attended the afternoon event at the Dolby Theatre: Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Bellamy Young, Josh Malina, Darby Stanchfield, Jeff Perry, Scott Foley, Cornelius Smith Jr., Joe Morton, Guillermo Diaz, Katie Lowes, and George Newbern. After a screening of the show’s pilot episode to remind the audience how it all began, the cast got down to business.
“What can we expect in the 100th episode?” Goldwyn teased, “It’s insane. It’s a ‘what if?’ episode.” Goldwyn then pointed to Washington and said of the show’s longevity, “One of the reasons we maintain this sense of family is the woman sitting to my right. She’s the greatest team captain.”
But what do the actors think of the show’s never-ending twists? Perry »

What the Huck?!
Last week's episode of Scandal gave us a full-fledged panic attack when the hour ended with O.G. gladiator Huck getting shot multiple times at the hands of yet another psychopathic girlfriend. And, to make matters even worse, it seems like Abby was the master manipulator behind the entire thing.
To get some desperately needed answers, Et caught up with star Guillermo Diaz at The Paley Center for Media's 34th Annual PaleyFest in Los Angeles on Sunday, and the actor was in great spirits despite his character's unknown fate.
"That ending just blew me away -- no pun intended," he said with a smile.
"I was in complete and utter disbelief, but excited too," Diaz confessed when asked about his initial reaction to that shocking Huck cliffhanger. "It's such a great script, it's so juicy »

The stars of Scandal — including one whose character was last seen bleeding out on the floor of a motel room — assembled at PaleyFest on Sunday to discuss the ABC drama’s storied history… and its upcoming 100th episode.

Let’s start by addressing the hemorrhaging elephant in the room: Yes, actor Guillermo Diaz was present at the panel — and received, arguably, the loudest applause — but if you were hoping for a confirmation on Huck’s fate, I’ve got some disappointing news: Diaz’s lips are sealed.

Shonda Rhimes: Rhimes’ Twitter account
We all know Shonda Rhimes as a top showrunner and the writer/producer/director extraordinaire behind “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal,” and “How to Get Away with Murder.” And now we’ll know Rhimes by yet another role: patron of the arts. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Shondaland multi-hyphenate has announced her plans to support the La theater community.
Rhimes recently contributed an undisclosed sum to the Iama Theatre Company in order “to strengthen La’s profile as a theater town.” Her contribution — via the Rhimes Family Foundation — will fund programs like the “Rhimes Unsung Voices Playwriting Commission,” “whose aim is to help budding playwrights develop new stagings that have a special emphasis on culturally-inclusive storytelling.”
“I had been missing the world of theater here in L.A.,” Rhimes told the La Times. “There’s a couple of very nice large theaters, but there’s not a lot of interesting small theater, like you can find in New York. And I was sort of craving it.”
“I think it’s hard for any playwright to find opportunities,” she continued. “If people aren’t being included, then I’m going to find a way to make sure they’re included. I’m going to find a way to make sure they have opportunities.”
Rhimes’ interest in supporting theater isn’t a surprise: She has a history of inclusivity in her casting and in her behind-the-scenes staff. “Scandal” star Darby Stanchfield recently made her directing debut with the web series “Scandal: Gladiator Wanted” and in February Ellen Pompeo took the helm for the first time on an episode of “Grey’s Anatomy.” Shondaland regulars Chandra Wilson and Debbie Allen have also directed multiple episodes of “Grey’s.”
Iama Theatre Company is dedicated “to producing young adult-oriented works that often speak to social problems through the lens of Angelenos,” the Times details. The nonprofit was founded by graduates from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, including Katie Lowes, aka “Scandal’s” Quinn Perkins.
After attending Iama’s annual 23 Hour Play Festival, Rhimes asked Lowes how she could help the company. “[Rhimes] asked, ‘What do you need? How do I help this grow? What will make it last?’” Lowes recalled. “It’s probably the most game-changing thing that’s happened for this company.”
Fellow founding Iama member Stefanie Black added, “This new commission is devoted to the goal of getting voices heard. There are so many voices out there that aren’t being shepherded or nurtured. So many people do their dream stuff or their passion projects for free, and that’s not sustainable.”
“I went to every play that came around our town, from the time I was little,” Rhimes told the Times. “It’s always been a part of my life, and it’s never felt inaccessible. And if I can help so that it’s not inaccessible here, great.”
Recently, Shondaland obtained the rights to writer Luvvie Ajayi’s first book, “I’m Judging You: The Do Better Manual.” Rhimes and Betsy Beers’ company plans to adapt the book into a comedy series for cable TV. You can catch the current Shondland lineup — “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal,” and “The Catch” — Thursdays on ABC. “How to Get Away with Murder” ended its third season in February and will most likely return this fall.

I don’t have too many run ins or close relationships with people who are very well known in society. But there are two females in my life who I’ll always be connected to, in whatever small way I am. The first is Ashley Biden. Yes, that Ashley Biden. The one who is the daughter of Joe Biden who is today an amazing individual and does a ton of good for the world. Those that know Ashley know that her past isn’t quite as clean. I happen to have gone to college at Tulane with her and there was an incident

There were two big stories to come out of ABC’s Scandal this week. The first one is more serious and involves real life. 35-year-old cast member Katie Lowes revealed that she has an autoimmune disease that’s more common than people thing. Psoriasis affects over 7.5 million Americans. “You’re not alone,” she told ABC News of the disease, which is often characterized by often painful and itchy red blotches on the skin. “It’s embarrassing. It’s a chronic disease but it affects everyone differently.” Lowes, a spokesperson for Janssen Pharmaceutica, was 28 when she was diagnosed and it interrupted an exciting

ABC star Katie Lowes stopped by Et for a Facebook Live interview on Thursday, and in addition to opening up about her ongoing battle with psoriasis, and Scandal's upcoming 100th episode, the brunette beauty raved about how much she loves her co-star's kids.
"We're, like, obsessed with them!" Lowes gushed of Washington's two children, 2-year-old Isabelle and 5-month-old Caleb.
Back in January, Washington dished to Et about how "lucky" she is that her kids are able to come to set with her. "I'm just so grateful for my job," the new mother-of-two said. "I'm so, so grateful that I get to do what I love to do, with people that I love, with scripts that I love -- the entire crew, it's such a family."
"It's hard to leave your family as a working mom," she continued, "but it's easier when you're going to a family »
Katie Lowes may battle psoriasis, but she isn’t allowing the diagnosis to dictate her life.
At the age of 28, the Scandal star was living out “the best year” of her life. “I was engaged to my then-boyfriend, now-husband. I booked Scandal, which was the biggest acting job I had ever booked,” she exclusively tells People.
But the stress that accompanied the excitement seven years ago compounded, and sparked her psoriasis, which started at the base of her head and all down the back of her neck and spread to the upper part of her back and behind the ears. »

It's not a Bachelor finale until the celebrity fans have spoken and that's just what they did on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The talk show host got Mad Men veteran and Last Man on Earth star January Jones (or January Jones: Professor of Love as she's credited) and Scandal's Katie Lowes and Josh Malina on video conference to weigh in on Nick Viall's choice. And here's your one spoiler alert. Nick handed his final rose to Vanessa Grimaldi and the couple got engaged. "I had her picked very early on too, Jimmy," January said when asked if she thought Nick made the right choice. "She was a keeper. She is a keeper, I hope." There was a movie on Lifetime last night called “Infidelity in Suburbia.” I didn’t see it but from the title I’m pretty sure I get the gist of what the movie was about. However, what I did take notice of was the movie’s star Sarah Butler. I’ve never seen her before and I personally think she’s got “the look.” The look I’m referring to is one of a starring role on a television show. I liken Sarah Butler very much to Katie Lowes. P.S. I went to high school with Katie Lowes but that’s an entirely different article. Like Lowes,

Last week there was a hot rumor I posted about how Kerry Washington was being tested for Domino, from Deadpool 2. She is not the first name thrown around for this iconic role as Lizzy Caplan (My pick for Lyssa Drak in the Glc movie), Ruby Rose, Sofia Boutella, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Sienna Miller, and Mackenzie Davis have all been rumored.
While being interviewed by Extra on the red carpet, Washington was asked if there was any truth to the rumor.
"I don’t have anything to say about that. Of course I would [want the role], but of course you have to get the right person for whatever role."
That is slightly misleading as she could simply be saying, "no comment," or, "yup, it's me seeing as you need the right person." I have a feeling we will be hearing more about this in a few days or weeks to come.

Olivia Pope is on a mission to save the White House.
Et exclusively debuts a sneak peek from Thursday’s brand new episode of Scandal, where Olivia (Kerry Washington) and Mellie (Bellamy Young) scramble to gather all the intel they can before the newly appointed president-elect, Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry), assumes presidential office.
Following the explosive death of Jennifer Fields, who claimed Cyrus was the one behind President-Elect Francisco Vargas’ assassination, Olivia and Mellie have a frantic conversation over the phone about their next moves in their plot to take Cyrus down.
“I’m reminded of a movie where two women drive off a cliff together,” an exasperated Mellie tells Olivia, referencing the ending of Thelma & Louise. Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched the Season 6 premiere of “Scandal,” which aired on Thursday, Jan. 26.
After an eight-month hiatus, “Scandal” is back and the election results are in.
Frankie Vargas (Ricardo Chavira) won the election, devastating the presidential hopeful Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Olivia (Kerry Washington) — but moments after his victory was announced, he was shot.
Fatally hit by a mystery shooter, Frankie died just moments after being elected, thus tasking Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) with appointing the next president. The sensible choice would be his running mate (Jeff Perry), but he could have also selected Mellie. He didn’t. So, Cyrus Beene is now the next president of the United States.
Olivia was determined to figure out the identity of Frankie’s shooter, especially because she thinks Cyrus has something to do with it. Liv thinks that Cyrus killed his way into the Oval Office, and »
