Review: Sanctuary: Quite A Conundrum

The arrival of Kevin Smith and his debut film Clerks brought on the idea that talking fast and being extremely profane makes for an entertaining movie. What so many filmmakers didn’t take away from Smith’s film though, is that there has to be intelligence, wit, and heart behind those seemingly profane personalities. Without those elements, people just come off unlikable, which is sadly the case in Thomas L. Phillips’ debut, Sanctuary: Quite A Conundrum. A film that relies on vulgarity without charm, and throws enough twists into the equation to rival a dance party, but without any reason.

Beginning with an uncomfortable sex scene between an overweight middle aged bald man with an eye patch and Mimi, a much younger woman (and lead character), Sanctuary wastes no time before making it obvious how in your face the over the top vulgarity is with this one. After making fun »

Sanctuary; Quite A Conundrum (previously titled 'Quite A Conundrum' review) has secured distribution from Midnight Releasing. The official release date is August 5th, 2014, but you can actually pre-order a signed copy of the movie and an 8x10 movie poster here.
