- Was first in a band with other British Columbians called the Matthew Good Band, which broke up in 2001 after releasing "The Audio of Being". He followed up as a single artist in 2003 with "Avalanche" and "White Light Rock & Roll Review" in 2004.
- At Last There Is Nothing Left To Say, a book of his online Manifestos from 1998-2000 was compiled published in 2001 by Insomniac Press.
- His biggest musical aspiration was to open for The Who - he has done so on two different occasions.
- Is good friends with LA blogger Tony Pierce.
- Didn't begin playing guitar until age 20.
- The first available recording of Matthew Good is from a demo tape called "...And In Closing" by The Rodchester Kings, of which he was the singer/songwriter.
- Finished his "Put Out Your Lights" tour. (November 2004)
- Released 4th studio album entitled, "Vancouver," followed by touring. (October 2009)
- Just finished recording his third solo studio album, entitled "Hospital Music," over the past few months. (June 2007)
- Released the single "Oh Be Joyful" for his upcoming album "Matthew Good: In A Coma 1995-2005; This will be a greatest hits album (July 2005)
- Released his second single from "White Light Rock & Roll Review", "It's Been A While Since I Was Your Man". (2004)
- Writing and demoing for 5th studio release. (2010)
