Ahead of her return to tennis next month following her doping ban, the 29-year-old athlete spoke at the Ana Inspiring Women Conference on Tuesday — and even cracked a few jokes about her troubles.
The Russian-born athlete said that she attended the Coachella Music and Arts Festival last April during her time off, and learned about many types of drugs.
“I was like, ‘Ok, so this is what this is about?’ There’s 120,000 people doing drugs that I’m not aware of? That took me completely out of my element,” Sharapova said per The Desert Sun, »

The mother of two also wore the white fur jacket over top of the look while talking with crew members on set.
It looks like she was filming several retakes for her Met Gala scene for the upcoming film, which is set to hit theaters June 8, 2018.
Kim and her sister, Kendall Jenner, first filmed scenes for the all-female heist flick in New York City. Other stars playing themselves in the scene will include Olivia Munn, Zayn Malik, Hailey Baldwin, Maria Sharapova, and Katie Holmes.

"The cast is phenomenal, and I'm excited to see what those women do with it," Matt Damon told Et »

Maria Sharapova plays tennis for three hours a day, five to six days a week, but says the workouts she does off the courts are just as important.
“Our bodies get used to something when we do it consistently, so I think the biggest gift that I can give to my body is always making it guess,” Sharapova, 29, told People at an exclusive workout and wellness event with Supergoop! — which she co-owns — in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
“It’s really about mixing it up and doing different things,” she continues. “As much as I play tennis, I want to do workouts that are different. »
Maria Sharapova might be in the middle of her 15 month suspension for doping but she's still dope. Maria enjoyed a little R&R on the island of Lanai over the New Year and, judging by her rock hard body in that tiny black bikini, she's been keeping up with her tennis training. She returns to the court in April, so better get that R&R in while she still can. Read more »
