Upcoming Legends Of Tomorrow Episode To Feature Young Barack Obama

Legends of Tomorrow has featured no shortage of important historical figures over its three seasons so far and that’s not about to stop anytime soon. In contrast to other time travel series, Legends isn’t afraid to showcase celebrities from recent years, as it’s already given us Star Wars creator George Lucas and later this season, we’ll see the Waverider crew encountering a young Barack Obama.

TV Line revealed the news that the 44th President of the United States will soon appear on The CW series. Casting is currently underway to find an actor to portray Obama for an outing set in the mid-70s, when he was a student at Occidental College. From what we understand, the episode is written by Keto Shimizu and James Eagan, with a premiere date locked in for April. No plot details have been revealed just yet, but fans are already

Did Barack Obama Win HQ Trivia on Wife Michelle's Birthday? People Has the Answer
Did Barack Obama just celebrate wife Michelle Obama’s 54th birthday by winning a little extra spending money?

The answer — sorry, internet — is no.

“President Obama is as competitive a trivia player as anybody, but he was celebrating his wife’s birthday last night with dinner and a play. In other words, not exactly the most conducive environment for gaming on a phone,” Katie Hill, the former president’s communications director, tells People.

Social media was abuzz Wednesday night after the nation’s 44th president appeared

Hooray! May the Comment Party Begin Again...

And there was much rejoicing. I can "hear" you all again. You can hear each other. We didn't expect to take a vow of collective silence but I had just watched Novitiate, that movie about the nuns, in which The LEOgend is very very upset when people talk during conversation blackout periods so perhaps I spiritually triggered it? Anyway... Please Say Something To End The Silence.

Director James Gunn Offers Trump $100K to Climb on Scale

Director James Gunn Offers Trump $100K to Climb on Scale
Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn is having a hard time believing the results of Donald Trump's annual medical exam and is willing to wager $100,000 to find the truth. Gunn has offered President Trump the six figures to the charity of his choice if he agrees to step on a scale to prove his actual height and weight. Many have taken note that Trump's reported weight of 239 pounds doesn't match up with others of the same height and weight. For instance, Trump is reportedly 6'3" and 239 pounds while professional football player Carrol Phillips is the same height and ways 3 pounds more than the president, but looks much different.

James Gunn is at the forefront of the so-called #girthermovement, which is a take on Donald Trump's own birther movement campaign that launched in 2008 when Barack Obama was running for president. The birther movement believed, and still believes, that President Obama

Camila Cabello Stuffed Hand Warmers Down Her Pants to Stay Warm on New Year's Eve

Camila Cabello Stuffed Hand Warmers Down Her Pants to Stay Warm on New Year's Eve
Fashion takes a backseat to warmth and comfort in the winter months for most, but Camila Cabello wasn’t going to let below-freezing temperatures wreck her style game for her performance on New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest. However, she did have to come up with a creative way to bring her “Havana” heat to Times Square for her New Year’s Eve performance.

Sitting down on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about the struggle of singing in such frigid weather, the 20-year-old singer explained that she was so cold during soundcheck that she “couldn’t feel my chin.

The Final Year review – Trump looms over poignant portrait of Obama's farewell

Greg Barker’s respectful film, shot behind the scenes at the White House, documents the end of an era – and the shock of what happened next

There is an unintentional sadness to this film from Greg Barker. It’s a respectful documentary about Barack Obama’s final year in the Us presidency, and everyone in front of and behind the camera clearly assumes that the baton is about to be euphorically passed on to Hillary Clinton. This feels like a feature-length season finale to The West Wing.

The title reminded me a little of Ta-Nehisi Coates’s essay collection We Were Eight Years in Power: An American Tragedy – yet that sense of an ending is very different. The mood here is not complacency exactly, but with hindsight we can see a kind of innocence, or even naivety, as everyone earnestly goes about their legacy-defining projects as the hour of Hillary’s coronation draws near.

A documentary offering an insider’s account of President Barack Obama’s foreign policy team during their last year in office at The White House. This behind the scenes view reveals the inner workings of the Obama administration as eight years in power draws to a close.

Steven Spielberg’s The Post has a companion piece. Not that it was planned that way but, as his latest juggernaut rolls into town, another film about American politics arrives on the same day. Both have occupants of The White House in the spotlight. For Spielberg, it’s a shadowy Richard Nixon, under siege from the press about how his and his predecessors’ Vietnam War policy. Ben Rhodes: ‘Obama has a serenity that I don't. I get more exercised’

He spent 10 years as Barack Obama’s right-hand man. As a new film puts him in the spotlight, he talks high-stakes diplomacy and the chaos of Trump’s White House

In his final foreign speech as president, Barack Obama spoke to a crowd in Athens. “As you may have noticed,” he said, “the next American president and I could not be more different. But American democracy is bigger than any one person.” More than a year on, with that proposition tested daily, Obama’s decision to make his last trip abroad to the birthplace of western democracy looks prescient.

The person Obama turned to just before taking the stage was a trim man with thin, close-cropped hair and a furrowed brow who had been at his side on almost every foreign trip he made, and who helped write this and just about every other foreign policy speech the president delivered.

Joe Biden Dined at Ayesha Curry’s BBQ Restaurant and Only Ordered (What Else?) Ice Cream

Joe Biden Dined at Ayesha Curry’s BBQ Restaurant and Only Ordered (What Else?) Ice Cream
Joe Biden’s love for ice cream is nearly as well-documented as his bromance with Barack Obama—so it should come as no surprise to learn that the former vice president indulged in a helping of the creamy, cold dessert during a visit to Ayesha Curry’s BBQ restaurant, International Smoke.

The 75-year-old politician swung by the San Francisco spot late Tuesday night with a small group of friends, a representative for the restaurant told Eater, and opted to forgo the ribs or smoked pork the eatery is known for.

“While his guests were eating dinner, VP Biden appeared to be eating ice cream!

Amid Storm Over 'S--thole,' Twitter Asks How to 'Fix Trump in 5 Words'

President Donald Trump is being heavily criticized after reports that he dismissed certain nations as “s–thole countries” during a meeting with lawmakers — and the Twitterverse had some ideas about how he could make amends.

The Washington Post reported the president, 71, became frustrated during the meeting when they discussed protections for immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and parts of Africa.

“Why are we having all these people from s–thole countries come here?” Trump said, according to the Post.

Trump denied the comment in a tweet Friday morning, writing that “the language used by me at the Daca meeting was tough,

Barack Obama "Sobbed" After Taking Malia to College: "I Was Basically Useless"

Barack Obama
David Letterman booked a major guest for the premiere episode of Netflix's My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman: Barack Obama. The episode, now streaming, features a touching moment toward the end, when the former United States President talks about dropping his 19-year-old daughter Malia Obama off at Harvard University last summer. "It was like open-heart surgery, man," the 56-year-old said, echoing comments he made in another interview last fall. "One of the best descriptions I ever heard of children is it's like having your heart outside your body. They're not that smart, and they're kind of wandering around, crossing streets, getting on airplanes. You're like,...

The mantra for David Letterman’s return to late night tonight heralded by an interview with Barack Obama on Netflix was crystal clear: see no Trump, hear no Trump, speak no Trump.
