Teaser trailer released for Hotel Transylvania 2 with Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Mel Brooks and Selena Gomez

Ahead of its release later on this year, we’ve been send over the first teaser trailer for animated sequel Hotel Transylvania 2, which sees Mel Brooks (Young Frankenstein) join a voice cast that includes Adam Sandler (That’s My Boy), Andy Samberg (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Selana Gomez (Spring BreakersKevin James (Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2), Steve Buscemi (The Wedding Singer) and David Spade (Grown Ups 2).

Dracula, Mavis, Jonathan and all of their monster friends are back in the brand new comedy adventure: when the old-old-old-fashioned vampire Vlad arrives at the hotel for an impromptu family get-together, Hotel Transylvania is in for a comic collision of supernatural old-school and modern day cool.

Ladies and gentlemen, the host of the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be... Mr. Andy Samberg!

The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star and "Saturday Night Live" alum will be master of ceremonies when TV's biggest night airs on Sunday, September 20th on Fox.

Fox Television Group chairman and CEOs, Gary Newman and Dana Walden said of the choice: "The moment the Emmy Awards' host was brought up, we said it had to be Andy. He is fearless, hilarious, an award-winning comedian, singer, writer and actor with incredible live TV experience. Adam Sandler co-writes and leads the voice cast for Genndy Tartakovsky's Hotel Transylvania 2. Here's the trailer.

We'd imagine that the plan to launch the trailer for this autumn's Hotel Transylvania 2 was hatched some time ago. A date of March 12th was earmarked for the trailer premiere, and as long as Disney didn't confirm Star Wars details or announce Frozen 2 on the same day, then lots of people would notice it.

Ahem.

Yep, in our continued quest to be the most cutting edge up to the minute website on the planet, we missed the Hotel Transylvania 2 trailer launch completely yesterday, so that opening paragraph is clearly us scrabbling to cover our tracks. It obviously won't work.
