What does American Horror Story have in common with Ravenswood, the pending ABC Family Pretty Little Liars spin-off? Well, both shows tend to deal with mystery, but first and foremost is pretty little actress, Britne Oldford, who is in the news today for joining the Ravenswood cast.
A Canadian actress, Oldford played Cadie Campbell in Skins and Alma Walker in a handful of American Horror Story: Asylum episodes. She was Kit Walker’s wife, Kit having been portrayed by Evan Peters.
Most of the primary cast of the much anticipated Pretty Little Liars spin-off have already been announced. Liars alum, Tyler Blackburn who brings to life Caleb Rivers, will star in Ravenswood, named for the town his character moves to, which seems to be under the influence of a curse, generations deep. It's official: Miley Cyrus is Maxim's hottest girl of the year.
Maxim's "Hot 100" list of 2013 has been revealed, and Cyrus tops the chart. Four months' worth of Maxim readers' votes catapulted her from her No. 68 spot last year to No. 1. The former Disney star -- who poses for the coveted issue in a gold lame monokini with her cropped platinum hair slicked back -- is thrilled.

Pretty Little Liars fans are prepping for a whole new spin…off, that is. We’ve been following the development of the hot ABC Family’s property’s new spin-off. More mystery and more characters are coming your way. Today we learned that the adorable Tyler Blackburn of the current Pretty Little Liars cast will hop, skip, and jump over to Ravenswood, leading the way into the related series.
Its always a risk, but right now ABC Family is banking on a couple of spin-offs. Followers of The Vampire Diaries are no doubt eager to see where the spin-off called The Originals will take Klaus and his former protege Marcel. "Pretty Little Liars" star Tyler Blackburn is leaving the ABC Family hit for its spinoff "Ravenswood."
Blackburn's "Pretty Little Liars" character, reformed bad boy Caleb Rivers, will join the upcoming series in the "Pretty Little Liars" mid-season Halloween special this October, which will be used to introduce Ravenswood and its inhabitants and launch the new series.
Blackburn tweeted about his move to fans:

The fan-favorite character will make the move during the ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Halloween special.
ABC Family’s got big things in store for Tyler Blackburn; the network announced April 30 that Pretty Little Liars‘ finest head of hair will also be joining the show’s upcoming spin-off, Ravenswood!
So how’s the cross-over going to happen, exactly? Here’s how ABC Family explained the move in a press release:
Blackburn’s character, Caleb Rivers, will travel to Ravenswood during the annual “Pretty Little Liars” special Halloween episode. The “Ravenswood” series will premiere immediately after. Blackburn will still be seen in the upcoming summer season of “Pretty Little Liars.”
So rest easy, ‘Haleb’ fans; there will be plenty more action between Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb to come!
