Jeff Martin is a musician, composer, film director and producer. He was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.
He graduated from high school at Crossroads School for Arts and Sciences in Santa Monica, CA in 1982 . One of his
classmates was the director
Michael Bay who enlisted Jeff to write music for a number of his college short films.
Jeff started the indie cult-band Idaho with his high school friend John Berry in 1992 and was quickly signed by Caroline records. Jeff composed the music for the network television shows
The Days (2004) and
Inconceivable (2005). He scored
Doug Pray's award winning documentary
Art & Copy (2009) and the indie film
Almost Perfect (2011). His directorial debut short film
The Serpent and the Shadow (2010) was accepted into the Olympia Film Festival and a number of others that year . As of 2017 he is producing a feature length film High Eight through his production company Tragic Ranch Films as well as putting the finishing touches on his band Idaho's 9th full length record.
