Emily Lou's ghostly horror comedy The Selling is now available on iTunes via GoDigital so if you're in the market for some lighthearted and spooky laughs this weekend (that are intentional, unlike another flick based on a video game franchise opening this week), this is your hot ticket!

Richard Scarry is a real estate agent who tries to talk people out of buying houses they can’t afford. When his business partner, Dave Ross, comes up with a scheme to flip an old house for profit, he only agrees because he needs to find a way to pay for his sick mother’s medical bills. Comic-Con: The Legend Of Korra Panel Teases Season 2 With Concept Art and Animatics from Book 2: Spirits

13 July 2012 3:42 PM, PDT | | See recent news »

Many, many people seated in Ballroom 20 at 11:15 on Friday were simply waiting for the Firefly 10-year reunion panel that was to follow.  But they are missing out.  Avatar: The Last Airbender is America’s entry into the world’s greatest animes, and the sequel series The Legend of Korra proved to be a fine follow-up that may sit right next to Airbender on the submission list.  Make no mistake, though: the Korra fans also came out in droves, and I saw dozens of great-looking Korras in the audience. The panel featured creators Bryan Konietzko and Mike Dimartino; voice actors Janet Varney (Korra), David Faustino (Mako), P. J. Byrne (Bolin) and Seychelle Gabriel (Asami); producer Joaquim Dos Santos and voice director Andrea Romano.  Hit the jump for a panel recap, including a tease of Book 2: Spirits.  . The panel started off with a highlight reel from season 1, and it must be said, »

2 July 2012 4:00 AM, PDT | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

The Comic-Con 2012 schedule has now been released in full, and barring any major updates, is set. The blessing and curse of being an attendee is deciding which panels/autograph sessions/special events to attend, when they conflict. And they always do.

For you to see for yourself, below are what we are calling the “headliner” panels; those panels that are taking place in Hall H, Ballroom 20, Room 6Bdf, and the just-next-door Hilton Indigo Ballroom, the four major venues for panels. There are descriptions of each panel as well as the show(s) and/or movie(s) they are there to discuss.

See how many conflicts you might have, or how you might arrange time and space to somehow attend these plus spend every day in the vendors’ Exhibit Hall and chasing zombies in the nearby The Walking Dead Escape. By the way, if you figure that out, Please let us know. »

Breaking News: Syfy Announces Summer Schedule, Including Series Finale of Eureka

15 May 2012 12:30 PM, PDT | ScifiMafia | See recent ScifiMafia news »

The seemingly endless wait for the Syfy summer schedule is finally over! There is good news and bad, and one thing that is both good and bad. Let’s start with that: the Eureka Season Finale. We love Eureka, so every episode is good news; the fact that it’s a series finale, not so much. Mark your calendars – and have plenty of Kleenex in stock – for July 16 at 9/8c. Right after Comic-Con, which is early this year. We’ll see if that means a panel or not.

The good news: Warehouse 13 and Alphas return on July 23. The hmmm news is that Lost Girl will move to Fridays at 10 on July 20. Hey That’S Haven’S Spot. So Where The Heck Is Haven? Admittedly we had a head’s up that Haven would be pushed to fall when we learned that the DVDs for Season 2 weren’t being released until September but Argh. »

TV Review: The Legend of Korra—"Welcome to Republic City/A Leaf in the Wind"

15 April 2012 2:03 PM, PDT | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of the best TV shows ever made.  Despite being essentially a children's show, The Last Airbender was almost perfect in every regaurd; the characters were likeable and well thought out, the action was amazing, the plot was intense and thoughtful, and the overall tone of the show was pitch perfect, featuring some of the finest episodes of television I've ever seen.  In my opinion, Tla is the closest this generation might get to a Star Wars-esque's just that wonderful.  So with all that in mind, I went into The Legend of Korra quite hopeful.  As a sequel to the original story, things could  go south pretty fast (ala The Prequel Trilogy).  But I had hope in creators Michael Dante Di Martino and Bryan Konietzko (the two co-creators of Tla) to deliver something that could live up to the origanal's glory.  Do »
