Trivia (2)

In the 1970 release C.C. & Company (1970), which starred Joe Namath, there is a scene in which Namath is taking co-star Ann-Margret to a dance club on a motorcycle. As they approach the club, the name "Sue Mengers" is displayed on its marquee, right below "Wayne Cochran and the C.C. Ryders". In real life, Mengers was Ann-Margret's agent.
Dyan Cannon's character "Christine" in The Last of Sheila (1973) was based on Mengers, as was Julie Andrews's "Sally Miles" character in S.O.B. (1981), which was directed by Andrews's husband Blake Edwards. In response to this latter satirical portrayal of her, Mengers responded to the Edwardses with this: "An Alp should fall on their house.".
