  • FEARnet
I’ve had my eye on the career of actress and burgeoning scream queen Jamie Bernadette since we met on the set of the upcoming film Axeman at Cutter’s Creek back in 2012, so it’s little surprise that my curiosity was piqued by the drop of the trailer for Mile Marker Seven, the latest horror feature she’s headlining. Written and directed by first-time feature filmmakers Anthony Scarpulla and Anthony Torrez and produced by Petter Anderson, Matthew Helderman and Luke Dylan Taylor, Mile Marker Seven follows (according to the synopsis) the character of "David (actor Wil Daniels), an independent oil contractor, on the brink of semi-retirement, is brought the opportunity of a lifetime by his friend and former business partner, Barry. Everything is going just as they wished, but what they don't realize is,

Comic-Con 2013: Exclusive Interview with Matt Clouston and Letia Clouston for ‘Broken Toy’

The most impressive feats out of San Diego Comic-Con International 2013 aren’t just about the big budget mega-films. But it is about the showcase of the micro-budget indie filmmakers.

And we’re talking about Micro-budget.

Latino-Review exclusively interviewed “Broken Toy” star and series creator Matt Clouston with director/editor Letia Clouston.

This amazing web series have been around since 2009 and it’s costs around $100 per episode. That’s right–$100.

Here’s the synopsis of the series:

Five pilots volunteered for a program to enhance their senses, 4 died horribly, the last one is now causing chaos. Quinn is not a hero, he’s not a anti-hero, he’s merely a villain with a broken brain, unaware that “no, people cannot live without their lungs.” They have no sponsors, never run ads on youtube, and have a minimalist budget per episode, trying their best to be a prime example of what filmmakers can do on their own.

Tmp Interviews: Matt & Letia Clouston of Broken Toy (Part 2)

It’s that time, again. If you did not catch the first part of the conversation, shame on you! TheMoviePool presents the second portion of a two part interview with two of the talented Forewarned Films staff: Matt and Letia Clouston of the webseries Broken Toy.

Tmp: There are many scenes with some awesome VFX in the series, so far, and I was wondering if you would be willing to share how you pulled these off. For instance, how did you create the blurred speed effect?

Mc: We started off with traditional animation, working frame by frame and then putting it back together and watching what worked. With Episode 1, I had finished all but the “salt shaker” scene. It was the last effect for the episode and was, really, just a throw away shot, so I tried a new tact with the effect.

And then Letia and I looked at
