In 1971, was the first EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) ever to work in the New York City ambulance system.
Son of Frank Simms, announcer for "Lassie," "I Love Lucy," "The Garry Moore Show," "The Merv Griffin Show," "Candid Camera" and many others from the 1950s-1960s. Nephew of famed West Coast announcer Hank Simms. Brother of Frank Simms.
