Rob was the co-founder of Magicam, Inc., a subsidiary of Paramount Pictures. Magicam developed a servo control camera and compositing system which allowed the combining of miniature backgrounds with actors on a blue screen in real time with full camera motion. The company credits included "Star Trek, The Motion Picture", "Cosmos" with Carl Sagan for which it won a Prime Time Emmy, and numerous other television shows and commercials.
Subsequent to Magicam, Rob was the co-founder of Las Palmas Productions, Inc., the parent company which founded CIS Hollywood (a partial list of credits can be found on IMDb: CIS Hollywood [us], and EFILM. The companies were key players and innovators in the visual effects industry for feature films, television shows, and commercials.
Rob has continued his career as a freelance post-production supervisor, editor, and colorist.
