The Trailer for Bela Kiss Starring Kristina Klebe

21 December 2012 7:36 AM, PST | shocktillyoudrop.com | See recent shocktillyoudrop news »

A German horror film called Bela Kiss has come to our attention and, today, we have a trailer to share with you.  The film is written and directed by Lucien Forstner and is based on real-life Hungarian serial killer Bela Kiss.  He reportedly killed 23 young women, storing their blood-drained bodies in metal barrels, conserved in alcohol.

Forstner's film - which stars Kristina Klebe (Rob Zombie's Halloween, Chillerama) - concerns five bank robbers in search for a hideaway in a remote hotel as they flee from the police. According to the synopsis, "brutal and unforeseen events take overhand and build a bridge to the past. The assumed safe house turns into a nightmare...is Bela Kiss still alive?"

Check out the trailer inside and follow this link to the official site.  Stay tuned for U.S. release details as they come in.

Exclusive: Alter Egos 'Did Somebody Say Superhero' Clip

15 November 2012 4:02 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Phase 4 Films and SModcast Pictures have provided us with an exclusive clip from Alter Egos, which is currently playing in limited theaters before its national VOD release November 20. This comedy offers a very different take on the superhero genre, set in a world where heroes have lost all funding from the government. The script is flipped when a hero (Kris Lemche) gets in over his head, and a woman (Brooke Nevin) comes to his rescue. Take a look at this scene where wannabe hero Jimmy (Danny Masterson) briefly shows off his super powers.

Alter Egos Exclusive: "Did Somebody Say Superhero?"

Alter Egos is set in a world in which super heroes are real but have recently lost all government funding and public support. Out of that comes a quirky and very original comedy about an underappreciated superhero who jeopardizes a dangerous mission with his own emotional crisis, and the »

Review: Apocalypse of the Dead

23 October 2012 3:03 PM, PDT | shocktillyoudrop.com | See recent shocktillyoudrop news »

Someone needs to tell Ken Foree that he doesn’t need to do every horror movie that comes his way and more importantly, that not every zombie movie is written and directed by George Romero. Unfortunately, for the horror legend, he seemed unaware of these two things when he signed onto the 2009 Serbian horror, Zone of the Dead (released in the U.S./UK as Apocalypse of the Dead), and the end result is an unintentionally cheesy film that fails and tries too hard at paying homage to past zombie classics.

The film follows a rookie detective, Agent Mina Milius (Kristina Klebe), as she embarks on her first field assignment to transport a prisoner along with her fellow Interpol agents, including Mortimer Reyes (Foree). Like anyone’s first day at work, things go horrible awry for the self-conscious officer and her company, and they find themselves stranded in a town »

“In Production” is a regular column which focuses on notable independent films that are currently shooting.

Shooting from mid-July in Eastern Indiana, Scalene director Zack Parker’s Proxy is a suspense thriller about Esther (Alexia Rasmussen), a pregnant woman who joins a support group after being attacked one night and strikes up a dysfunctional relationship with a fellow victim (Alexa Havins). Parker’s last feature Scalene, which is set for release on Blu-ray, DVD and VOD on July 31st, received glowing reviews for its clever use of the fractured narrative – potentially one of the most over-used cinematic devices of the past three decades. Parker has assembled many of the same crew for Proxy, including composers The Newton Brothers and d.p. Jim Timperman, and added SFX makeup artist James Ojala (Hellboy II, True Blood).
