- John Gregory Foreman was born in April 1972 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. John has been interested in music since he was a baby and began learning piano at the age of six. When he was twelve, he won a scholarship to The Newcastle Conservatorium and, by the time he was seventeen, was an associate member of the State Conservatorium of Music. He finished school at Sydney's Conservatorium High School before completing a jazz course at university. After graduating, John became Musical Director of Good Morning Australia, a position he has held for the past twelve years. In 2003, he was also appointed Musical Director of the Australian Idol competitions. John is well known throughout Australia for his musical talents. He also wrote the song, "The Flame", the official theme of the Sydney Olymic Games. John currently divides his time between homes in Melbourne and Sydney.
