Marshall Tyler is a writer/director based in Los Angeles. His documentary work on global/social issues has taken him around the world. His first doc, "Skid Row" followed Pras Michel (from Fugees' fame) disguised as a homeless man as he lived on the streets of LA's skid row for nine straight days. The film offers a first-hand account of what the homeless experience, and provides insight into the gaping disparity between rich and poor in one of America's most glamorous cities. That collaboration led to, "Paper Dreams: A Tale of Two Piracies" where he and Pras traveled to the outer regions of the war-torn Somali nation to personally explore up close the ransom-based piracy issue that had entrenched a small portion of the Somali population. Transitioning into narratives, Tyler is in development on several projects, one of which is based on a popular novel by legendary author, Iceberg Slim.
