A new video has surfaced from this year’s Royal Variety Performance, which took place at London’s Palladium Theatre on November 24 and was broadcast in the U.K. on Tuesday. In it, William shows off his best gallop — minus the horse and in a tux.
The move came at the request of one of the young members of the cast of Annie, which is currently playing on London’s West End. The Annie actress was convinced to do so by the evening’s host,

Viewers may be clamouring for a glimpse of Harry and Meghan in the London Palladium’s prime seats, but for this year Will and Kate are the royal couple clutching the regal bag of Revels Miranda Hart hosts, with fellow mirth merchants Tom Allen and the cast of Benidorm providing added dashes of humour. Musical turns include Michael Ball, Tokio Myers and the cast of West End smash Big Fish, including Kelsey Grammer. Mark Gibbings-Jones
The royal parents, who are expecting their third child in April, left Prince George and Princess Charlotte at their Kensington Palace home and stepped out to see the annual Royal Variety Performance at the Palladium Theatre in London. Kate wore a baby blue embellished Jenny Packham gown while William went for a classic tuxedo.
Louis Tomlinson and The Killers were among the entertainers at the event, which was hosted by comedian and actor Miranda Hart.

The series, starring Rupert Grint (Harry Potter) and Nick Frost (Spaced) has already been renewed for a second run, which we believe may even have already finished filming. The network seem to have a lot of confindence in its appeal.
Here's a first trailer to give you a taste of what to expect...
Sick Note surprise renewal
All the way back in April (think how much has happened since then, in this darkest of the timelines) we reported that Rupert Grint's Snatch TV show had been renewed for a second season. Along with this news,
The first season of the show goes out this fall on Sky in a 10 p.m. slot and on Sky’s Now TV streaming service, with Season 2 currently in production. The comedy follows Daniel Glass (Grint) as a down-on-his-luck insurance rep who is wrongly told he has a terminal illness and decides to keep the misdiagnosis from his family and friends.
Lohan will play Katerina West, the daughter of Glass’s boss (Johnson) in the second season, which is expected to bow in 2018.
“One lie leads to the next in this unsettlingly brilliant comedy that will hook viewers in and have them on the very edge of their seats,” said Sky Head of Comedy Jon Mountague. “Filming
The name Miranda Hart has become synonymous with chaos. Every stool she encounters is there to be slipped off, every sushi restaurant conveyor belt there to get trapped in. Hers is a world where, when life hands you lemons, you drop them all on the floor, slip over the stray one that rolls away and rip your trousers as you fall.
Yet, the awkward, hapless BBC character that became beloved by millions is not the same woman as Hart is off-screen. Far from falling flat on her face at every turn, the comedian has slowly conquered much of British culture, moving from radio to television comedy and drama, A-list Hollywood film – and now the West End stage.

The word “weekender” in a TV show’s title usually heralds a trip to Ibiza and a collective “Oi oiiii!” Here’s a programme that bucks the trend, with the charming Adam Buxton, Paralympics presenter Arthur Williams and foodie Clem Green sampling the delights of Devon. Colleagues, friends and admirers have paid tribute to Pigott-Smith, the Bafta-winning star of classic TV series The Jewel In The Crown, who has died aged 70.
“Today a great actor left the stage,” Kevin Spacey tweeted. “But more than that, a great man. A friend & one of the kindest I’ve ever known. Rip Tim Pigott-Smith.”
Many people took to Twitter in remembrance.
Miranda Hart said: “So saddened by the news of Tim Pigott-Smith. What a fun, lovely, kind, brilliant gent. Was part of one of my fav Miranda eps. Oh we laughed.”
“So shocked to hear Tim Pigott-Smith has died,” Rupert Evans said. A great actor and family man. He played my father 3 times. He will be so missed.”
Rory Bremner said: “Shocked & saddened to hear Tim Pigott-Smith has died. Lovely man- great grace, voice, presence, timing, sense of humour. Great actor too
It doesn’t matter if you’re suspicious of the motives of some of the people involved (is it really all about charity, or is there an element of self-promotion?). Or if you hated Love Actually first time round, so more of it is not funny at all. Perhaps you’re uncomfortable with the sleb/slum juxtaposition, or you’re not 100% convinced that the answer to poverty in Africa is Greg Davies shouting in a hot tub on the O2. But cast your doubt and cynicism aside, even if it’s for one night only. Shut up, stick a red nose on… too much? Well, stick your hand in your pocket at least, dip into your stash.

Peter Capaldi’s Doctor Who: your verdict on the outgoing Time Lord
It was hardly a surprise to learn that Peter Capaldi is to hang up his velvet jacket at the end of 2017. By the time of his exit at Christmas, he’ll have completed the standard stint of three-and-a-bit series as the Doctor. And with showrunner Steven Moffat also signing off, it stands to reason that the incumbent Chris Chibnall would want a clean slate and his own cast.
