- In September of 2006, Lee made a trip to Coos Bay, Oregon, to run in the 26th Annual 10k(6mi)Prefontaine Memorial Race, in honor of one of Lee's inspirations, the late legendary runner, Steve Prefontaine.
- Befriended the late legendary soap-opera actor, Terry O'Sullivan, whom he co-starred with in the play, "It Runs in the Family" in Excellsior, MN. During the rehearsal stage, Terry and his wife were kind enough to give Lee room and board while Lee searched for his own apartment.
- Is a regular listener of The Howard Stern Show on satellite radio.
- Is good friends with the published author, Brian G. Mahlum, writer of "The Sage".
