Celestial Tiger, Endemol Buddy Up for ‘BROcation’

Asian channels operator Celestial Tiger Entertainment is to move further into the original production business with structured reality show ‘The Ultimate BROcation.” The show will be produced by Endemol Shine and be sponsored by the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

The five-episode series will follow the adventures of four celebrities from four different Southeast Asian countries as they revel in a five-day, all-expenses paid vacation, tailor-made for ‘bros’ Action includes parties, adventures, top food, beautiful ladies, and male-bonding. The only catch is that the guys have to let it all be filmed.

Casting is currently underway in Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong, for well-known male celebrities who have appetite for adventure. Production will take place in Hong Kong in October. The show will debut exclusively on Cte’s action and adventure channel Kix channel.

FilMart: Celestial Tiger Promotes ‘R U Tough Enough”s Andy Chang

Pan-Asian TV channel operator, Celestial Tiger Entertainment will expand its first sponsored original production “R U Tough Enough,” to Thailand later this year. The show, a search for the country’s toughest individual, currently screens on Cte’s Kix action channel in Malaysia and The Philippines.

Cte has promoted Andy Chang, the show’s creator. A Cte veteran since joining in 2010 from Sony, Chang becomes senior VP of advertising sales, marketing and original productions. In addition to overseeing corporate communications, trade, affiliate and consumer marketing for Cte, Chang will now be responsible for driving advertising sales for Cte channels and assembling sponsored original productions.

The company has also strengthened its sales team with a promotion and new hire.

Annie Chan is promoted to executive director, affiliate sales. driving channel distribution and overseeing affiliate relations with platform partners in Asia/Pacific. She was previously director of business development at Celestial Pictures. »
