Olivier Vandersleyen(I)

Olivier Vandersleyen is Professor in cinema at the National School of Visual Arts 'ENSAV La Cambre' Brussels and Documentary film maker.
Graduated from INSAS, Belgian cinema school, he starts his career working in France; first at FR3 Television and Radio network, and broadcast on France Inter and France Culture, and also for Sud Radio transmitted from Andorra. At the time, he created with Yehudi Menuhin a series for radio on violin for FR3 Lorraine.
Back in Belgium, he starts teaching at La Cambre in 1979 and works for several film companies.
As cameraman, he covered, for international TV channels, major events such as: The fall of Berlin's wall, Yugoslav Wars, Conflict in Northern Ireland. In 1996, he creates Widescreen Company which produces news reports and documentary films.
Passionate by the industrial heritage and its history, he directed documentaries on this rich past.
