A new trailer has debuted for this adaptation of an incredible true story, which doesn't have a U.S. release date quite yet, although it did open in the Philippines last month. This new movie sheds some light on a little-known story from the very end of World War II.

USS Indianapolis: Men of Courtge tells the harrowing true story of the crew of the USS Indianapolis, who were stranded in the Philippine Sea for five days after delivering the atomic weapons that would eventually end WWII. The U.S.S. Indianapolis was sunk by Japanese torpedoes in 1945, and of the over 900 crew members on board, only 300 survived the ordeal, battling starvation, hypothermia and

Rosemary’s Baby Gets A Foreboding First Poster

Whether we actually needed an update of the classic Roman Polanski chiller Rosemary’s Baby is still unclear, but NBC is nevertheless sending one our way later this year. Starring Avatar actress Zoe Saldana in the lead role of a newlywed mother-to-be who begins to suspect that her husband and new neighbors may have dark plans for her unborn child, the four-hour miniseries, now filming in Paris, will find its way to the small screen this May.

We got our first look at Saldana in her role last week, and now NBC has unveiled the official poster for Rosemary’s Baby, which you can check out below.

With a sinister ambience and a direct but effective tagline, the poster promises an eerie update of a familiar story, while also highlighting what sets the miniseries apart from Polanski’s film: namely, its Paris setting. Like the original novel by Ira Levin,

Two Featurettes For All-Star Comedy ‘Last Vegas’

Earlier today we brought you our review of Jon Turteltaub’s Sin City-set geriatric comedy Last Vegas. Four Funny Clips From All-Star Comedy ‘Last Vegas’

A comedy uniting four Oscar-winners in Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro and Kevin Kline, could be prove a masterstroke for Jon Turteltaub. The National Treasure and Cool Runnings director is at the helm for Last Vegas, which is most definitely aimed at The Hangover crowd, with a plot similar to that of Todd Phillips’ blockbusting franchise. There is a different spin on proceedings by having these four friends venturing to Sin City for a stag party as they’re all in their 60s. So perhaps one for both ends of the cinema-going spectrum?

So, let the hijinks commence in these four amusing clips!

Last Vegas is released on the 1st November in the Us and the UK 20th December. It also features Mary Steenburgen, Jerry Ferrara, Romany Malco, Weronika Rosati and Roger Bart.

First Poster Hits For Pensioner-Style Hangover ‘Last Vegas’

The impressive main cast for director Jon Turteltaub’s ‘jolly boys outing’ Last Vegas unites four Oscar-winners in the comedy of friends venturing to Sin City for a stag party. Yes, it’s a plot in much the same vein as Todd Phillips’ hit The Hangover franchise, only it’s Oap’s Michael Douglas, Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro and Kevin Kline, surely getting into a host of comedic drunken carnage.

The first trailer certainly looked fun and when on form, the four are formidable. Fingers crossed it’s an enjoyable blast come the film’s Us release on the 1st November and the UK 20th December. Meanwhile, the first poster has arrived. Last Vegas also features Mary Steenburgen, Jerry Ferrara, Romany Malco, Weronika Rosati and Roger Bart.

Trailer Trashin’: The Hangover Meets Red in Last Vegas

The 2013 summer movie season continues on, with this week seeing the release of The Wolverine. It’s been getting some fairly good buzz, and I’m actually interested in seeing it. In the meantime, this week’s Trailer Trashin’ column looks at the upcoming comedy Last Vegas.

Premise: Billy (Michael Douglas), Paddy (Robert De Niro), Archie (Morgan Freeman), and Sam (Kevin Kline) have been best friends since childhood. So when Billy, the group’s sworn bachelor, finally proposes to his thirty-something girlfriend, the four head to Las Vegas with a plan to stop acting their ages and relive their glory days. However, upon arriving, the four quickly realize that the decades have transformed Sin City and tested their friendship in ways they never imagined. The Rat Pack may have once played the Sands, and Cirque du Soleil may now rule the Strip, but it’s these four who are taking over Vegas.
