Aaron Sorkin’s return to television is all but a certainty to be one of the best things to happen to the small screen this year. Scratch that: since he brought us Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.
The anticipation has been high ever since the show was first announced – it always will be when you’re dealing with Sorkin – and then along came the first trailer at the start of last month and raised the bar that much higher.
Adding to that, HBO have put out a great new promo ahead and the first poster for the show of its debut next month, with the poster bearing the awesome tagline that was originally to the programme’s name, ‘More as this story develops.’

Aaron Sorkin’s HBO series The Newsroom is getting closer and Thn has a couple more teasers and the poster for this very interesting upcoming saga starring Jeff Daniels as key anchor Will McAvoy. This isn’t any standard set-up as the 24-news network he’s working for is falling fast in the ratings game but they decide to change something and, it’s big, as they try to go back to basics for reporting but as you can see…this isn’t going to be a smooth transition.
These little snippets introduce us a little further to the ensemble cast including Emily Mortimer who’ll play Mackenzie MacHale, an executive producer plus more newsroom staff who will be played by John Gallagher Jr, Olivia Munn, Dev Patel and Sam Waterson, to name a select few. Model Bar Refaeli has earned the top spot on Maxim’s Hot 100 list for 2012, the first list in which readers’ votes helped determine the list. Though the Israeli beauty is a mainstay on the list, the top spot usually goes to ladies with a much higher profile in music or film — pop stars like Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera, actresses like Olivia Wilde, and cross-over model-actresses like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who was last year’s #1. (Model Marissa Miller was the one previous exception.) The key art and two new trailers from HBO’s upcoming anticipated series ‘The Newsroom’ has been released. The drama series, which was created by ‘The Social Network’ and ‘Moneyball’ screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, will premiere on June 24 at 10pm. ‘The Newsroom’ gives a behind-the-scenes look into the people who make a nightly cable-news program. The first official poster has been released for Aaron Sorkin's new HBO drama, The Newsroom. The series stars Jeff Daniels as the primary anchor of a failing 24-hour news network who is ready to break the monotony of cable news and go back to the roots of informing his audience. We already saw his character have a fantastic (and much publicized) outburst in the first trailer. This time, though, the mag let their readers weigh in on the extremely important decisions -- and the people have spoken. After millions of votes, model Bar Rafaeli has claimed the No. 1 spot. Leonardo DiCaprio's supermodel ex-girlfriend Bar Refaeli has topped the 2012 Maxim Hot 100 list.
For the first time in the magazine's history, readers were allowed to vote for the hotties - and there was overwhelming support for the Israeli stunner.
Thrilled Refaeli says, "Every year, it's a different girl that I look up to. For me to be among them, it's an honour."
The single model is hoping the honour will help her find a mate she can settle down with and start a family, adding, "I'm looking for a friend that will make me laugh, that will teach me every day - that I can learn from, and that has the same values as me.
