Mini Biography

Jeff is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and long-time member of the musical group Mercury Rev. In over a decade with the band, Jeff has been an integral part in the writing, recording and production of numerous critically acclaimed recordings (including NME's #1 album of the year for 1998, "Deserter's Songs"). As a member of Mercury Rev, he has contributed music for the CBS hit series C.S.I., Showtime's This American Life and has also scored one feature length film, Bye Bye Blackbird, in 2005). Now working independently, Jeff has scored three films in 2010.

Marvin is a short film by UK animator Mark Nute featuring the voice of actor Steve Coogan. The film is slated to debut at the 16th annual Encounters International Film Festival in Bristol, UK on a special program presented by Channel 4.

Daniel is an extended short film written and directed by Alain Furcajg. The film is an official selection at: Provincetown International Film Festival, Terror Film Festival (Philadelphia, PA - Winner Best Horror Short), Sacramento Horror Film Festival and Big Apple Film Festival.

Peripheral City is a new dramatic web-series, written and directed by Amanda Cole. The pilot (web episodes 1-4) is streaming online.

Jeff also regularly contributes original music for RISK! True Tales, Boldly Told (a pod-cast created and hosted by Kevin Allison of MTV's "The State") and Hooked On The Fly, an ecologically conscious, forward-thinking television series about fly-fishing and the environment (seen on Sportsman Channel, Untamed Sports, Wild TV and Outside Television).

When he's not in his studio in Brooklyn, Jeff can be found fly-fishing the legendary streams of the Catskill Mountains.
