Spoiler alert! This article contains spoilers for the Five Nights at Freddy's movie.
The Banana Splits Movie showcases murderous animatronics that go on a violent rampage in a television studio, similar to the possessed mascots in Five Nights at Freddy's. Puppet Master, like Five Nights at Freddy's, features a cult following and follows the exploits of killer puppets brought to life by an Egyptian curse. Willy's Wonderland, with Nicolas Cage, offers a more extreme and gory rendition of Five Nights at Freddy's, depicting waves of possessed animatronic mascots in an abandoned restaurant.
There are a slew of great horror movies that those who enjoyed Five Nights at Freddy's should consider watching next. Five Nights at Freddy's adapts the eponymous game franchise, depicting a security guard attacked by possessed animatronic mascots in an abandoned restaurant. Workin' Moms was canceled after its seventh season, and it is unlikely that there will be a season 8 renewal. The decision to end the show was made in order to finish on a high note and avoid prolonging the storyline unnecessarily. If Workin' Moms were to return for a season 8, it is likely that the core cast would remain the same, but there could be changes depending on the time gap between seasons.
Workin’ Moms managed to amass a dedicated following during its seven-season 2017-2023 run, and despite Netflix and Catherine Reitman bringing the dramedy sitcom to a close there’s still demand for Workin’ Moms season 8. Starring Reitman in the lead role of Kate Foster, Workin’ Moms lives up to its title and focuses on a group of five working Toronto mothers. The unlikely band of friends meet at a parent-baby group, and over the seven seasons help each...

On April 26, 2023, Netflix released the seventh and last season of Workin' Moms, the Canadian sitcom that first premiered on CBC in 2017 and was picked up by the streaming platform in the middle of its third season. Created by and starring Catherine Reitman, this witty and unhinged dramedy, which is set in Toronto and has been described as both breezy and painfully relatable, does not only appeal to the obvious demographic of women juggling both career and family life; it also tackles modern-day dating, explores the psyche of troubled teenagers, and gives a voice to fathers and husbands.
The show also sheds light on the intricate creative process within marketing and public relations firms, and the struggles, ambition, and competitiveness in the workplace. It explains how some people need to explore (and fail at) several options before finally finding their place professionally, personally, and socially.

Workin' Moms is one of the most relatable modern-day sitcoms, as it deals with the day-to-day issues of being a new mother and a working professional, but there are still plenty of unnecessary Workin' Moms storylines. Workin' Moms shows that motherhood can be as brutal as it is wonderful. Between the cuddles and adorable sleeping babies are worried about working too much and marriage woes. It's a dark comedy that tells the truth about women who want to raise kids as much as they want to find professional success. Kate (Catherine Reitman), Anne (Dani Kind), Frankie (Juno Rinaldi), and Jenny (Jessalyn Wanlim) are finding their way and trying to adjust.
Now that Workin' Moms has concluded with season 7, the show went out on a high note, as it was a consistently funny, realistic look at motherhood since day one. When reflecting on the past seven seasons, there have been some...

The seventh and final season of “Workin’ Moms,” created by and starring Catherine Reitman, first aired on April 26th, 2023. With much glorification from viewers, many consider it the best season yet, even compared to the sixth season. (I’m right there with them).
The series follows four moms, Kate (Reitman) and Anne (Dani Kind), married to Ryan Belleville, Frankie (Juno Rinaldi), and Valerie (Sarah McVie). In this series, they realize that their lives will move forward despite their challenges with their children.

Spoiler Alert: This interview contains spoilers from the final season of “Workin’ Moms,” now streaming on Netflix.
After seven seasons and more than 80 episodes, “Workin’ Moms” has retired: The seventh and final season hit Netflix on April 26. Creator, writer, sometimes director and star Catherine Reitman knew she wanted to end the series while crafting Season 6 — bringing home the comedy of working mothers who are just trying to do their best — with a final scene she’d had in her head.
“The only justice I could think of for working mothers is, you just dust yourself off, you get back up and you go to work,” she tells Variety. “That’s it — you get your kids set up, and you go back to work. And there was no fantasy that could better eclipse the reality of being a working mother.”

Catherine Reitman wanted to share stories of women trying — and often failing — to have it all. Fast forward seven seasons, 83 episodes and dozens of awards nominations (including two International Emmy nods), and she’s ready to put that baby to bed.
“Workin’ Moms” was born following the creator, showrunner, star and sometimes director’s own first Mother’s Day, which she missed while shooting an indie movie. Along with her husband Philip Sternberg (who plays her on-screen husband Nathan on the series), they created the production banner Wolf + Rabbit and sold what was initially going to be a premium cable project to FX.
Reitman had spent a lot of time growing up in Canada with her family (her father was late Canadian filmmaker Ivan Reitman), so when FX passed, she looked north and sold the series to CBC.
“Honest to God, I was so hopeful that I would get to Season 2,” Reitman recalls to Variety.

As a make-up artist touches up Catherine Reitman’s hair between takes, it’s not immediately clear how many hats she wears on the Toronto soundstage for Workin’ Moms, her popular CBC and Netflix comedy.
Reitman is the creator, executive producer, writer and star, playing Kate Foster, on the half-hour series that began as four women in a Mommy and Me group wanting to have it all, yet juggling the real challenges of being a modern working mother, relationships, insatiable babies, horrific co-workers and postpartum depression.

Ally Pankiw will make her feature directing debut with “Brooke & Sam,” an upcoming comedic drama featuring “Shiva Baby” breakout Rachel Sennott.
The film, which quietly wrapped production, follows Sam, a young stand-up comedian and au pair struggling with Ptsd, who is weighing whether or not to join the search for Brooke, a missing girl she used to nanny. The story exists between the present, where Sam tries to recover from her trauma with the help of her friends in the comedy community, and the past, where memories of Brooke make it harder and harder to ignore the teen’s disappearance; and harder and harder to get back on stage.
Pankiw, who wrote the script along with directing the film, has established herself in the television and streaming world. Her directing and executive producing credits include the entire first season of Netflix’s series, “Feel Good,” which was created by and stars comedian Mae Martin.

Much like the first trailer, it's very clear this is a full-blown, R-rated, horror-driven take on this beloved children's classic. How or why this came to be remains a mystery, but this is happening and we have a bloody look at what's coming our way.
It was initially revealed back in February that The Banana Splits were being revived. One might have thought that would include a new TV series that would have been aimed at children, much like the original 1960s TV series. Instead, it was stated that the reboot was, confusingly, going to be a horror movie. Once the first trailer debuted, many began making comparisons, rightfully so, to the popular video game Five Nights at Freddy's.

Unless you really think Danishka Esterhazy’s The Banana Splits Movie is going to mimic the kid-friendly environment of the 1960s Hanna-Barbera series, it won’t come as too much of a shock to learn that these are not the same Fleagle, Bingo, Drooper, and Snork of your childhood. No, in their big screen debut and faint rebirth back into the social stream, these four splits’ goal is to simply split you. And with this bloodthirsty reincarnation comes one of the strangest and, not speaking to its quality, welcomed films of the year.
With fans from all boroughs of pop culture demanding neatly packaged nostalgia trips, this picture mangles the memory of a kid’s pop-rock band and turns it into a gruesome pack of furry killing machines. Its premise is bold, radical, and, in terms of branding, everlasting. While the idea of The Banana Splits has been left on...

Now, those who are curious to see how this all comes together will get their chance via Blu-ray/DVD this summer.

"Now the show can go on forever... and ever... and ever...!!" The beloved children's show is back... with a vengeance, a horrible, bloody vengeance. What is this! Ha! Syfy has debuted the official trailer for a horror feature titled The Banana Splits Movie, a re-imagining of the classic children's show on TV in the 1970s ("The Banana Splits Adventure Hour") as a horror movie. The plot is about a kid who goes to a taping of the show, only to discover the four furry main characters – Bingo, Fleegle, Drooper and Snorky – are actually killers. Over thirty episodes of "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour" originally aired between 1968 and 1970, with costumes and sets designed by Sid & Marty Krofft. This new movie stars Dani Kind, Finlay Wojtak-Hissong, Steve Lund, Sara Canning, Maria Nash, and Romeo Carere. We don't often feature direct-to-vod films, but can't help it this time! This is so nuts and it actually looks crazy good!

These aren't the Hanna-Barbera characters you remember. Mainly because they never killed anyone. That we know of.

Gore is not the first thing you tend to think of when reminiscing about the beloved live-action Hanna-Barbera series, but Fleegle the Beagle, Bingo the Gorilla, Drooper the Lion, and Snorky the Elephant are coming back in a rather more violent capacity to dish out some bloody vengeance in The Banana Splits Movie.

Home Entertainment and Syfy are teaming up to bring back the characters of The Banana Splits Adventure Hour for a special movie. This one definitely won’t be for the young ones, though. Instead, The Banana Splits film is going to take everything people loved about the program and turn it into a horrifying, bloody movie that’ll give fans of the original countless nightmares.

We have the first trailer for The Banana Splits movie and it's probably not what anyone was expecting. We first got wind that the children's icons were getting a reboot in the form of a new movie back in February. That was welcome news, but it came with something of a twist. At the time, it was heavily implied that this was, strangely, going to be a horror-themed take on the 60s TV series. This trailer serves as stone-cold proof of that as things get extra bloody in this R-rated reboot that may very well be the most bizarre thing coming our way this year.
The trailer kicks off with a family who surprise their young son with tickets to go see The Banana Splits live. Things seem normal enough at first. Everyone seems happy. Then things get weird. As soon as the original costumed characters Bingo, Fleegle, Snorky and Drooper appear on screen,...

Back in February, we passed along the news that Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Syfy will be bringing us a new original film based on the cult favorite children's series The Banana Splits... but with a horror twist. And today we have word that the film will be going full-tilt boogie with the horror as the MPAA has just slapped the movie with an R-rating for "horror violence and gore."
The upcoming horror thriller centers on a boy named Harley who attends a taping of The Banana Splits TV show with his brother Austin, mother Beth, and father, Mitch. It was supposed to be business as usual for the producer of the series, Rebecca, and a fun-filled birthday for young Harley. A revival of the classic Hanna-Barbera costumed characters will have The Banana Splits leaning in to their creepy side.
As a child, I was scared by everything from the Blue Meanies from The Beatles' Yellow Submarine movie to Waylon Flowers' wise-cracking Madame puppet.
Admittedly, I was a weird kid.
But in my defense, growing up in the 1970s and '80s meant that you were bombarded with supposedly lovable characters who were in fact nothing but weaponized nightmare fuel.. Chief among these marketable terrors were the characters featured Hanna-Barbera's variety show/hellscape The Banana Splits.
Airing for two seasons from 1968-70, then repeated in syndication for perpetuity, this series combined the live-action antics of the animal-costumed characters Fleegle, Drooper, Bingo, and Snorky as they had indescrible adventures filmed at amusement parks that were intercut with other segments.

Well, here’s some interesting and weird movie news! the classic 1960s Hanna-Barbera kids program The Banana Splits is going to be making a come back as a film! But, there’s a little twist… it’s going to be a horror movie!
The Banana Splits is a TV series that premiered in 1968. It’s way before my time, and I’m not really familiar with it. But I went to YouTube to watch a few videos for it, and it definitely looks like it could and should be a psycho horror movie! Here’s a little description of it:
A laugh track-laden collection of live-action buffoonery and animated segments for undiscerning young minds. Whether in their crazy clubhouse or out cavorting among the public, costumed animal hosts Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper and Snorky would engage in all manner of harmless nonsense, and even strap on musical instruments to perform hippie-dippie rock numbers.

Hey, remember the Banana Splits? Well, they’re coming back to TV… but not the way you remember them. At all.

In the film, a boy named Harley celebrates his birthday by attending a taping of the Banana Splits TV show with his family. “But things take an unexpected turn — and the body count quickly rises,” per the movie’s official description.

Bingo, Fleegle, Drooper and Snorky, the zany collective better known as The Banana Splits, are coming back with a vengeance — and with a body count?
As revivals go, this one may be as audacious as it is unexpected: Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Syfy are bringing back the Banana Splits, the trippy-dippy characters introduced back in 1968 as the anthropomorphic hosts of The Banana Splits Adventure Hour variety program. This time around, however, the Banana Splits are being served up in a horror thriller.
The original movie will premiere this year from Blue Ribbon Content, Warner Bros Television Group’s digital studio, via a Warner Bros. Home Entertainment release that will be followed by the television debut on Syfy. The official synopsis: “In the upcoming horror thriller, a boy named Harley and his family attend a taping of The Banana Splits TV show, which...
