Setting the stage for this look-see at the NCIS agent’s place is a Yuletide visit from his father, played by returning guest star Robert Wagner. Elsewhere in the hour, airing Dec. 11, Gibbs’ team “follows the money” to solve a murder and Abby is bursting with excitement over the holiday festivities (as seen in one of the below photos).

NCIS, Season 10, Episode 8: “Gone”

Written by Reed Steiner and Scott Williams

Directed by James Whitmore, Jr.

Airs Tuesdays at 8pm (Et) on CBS

When season ten was still shrouded in mystery, a fresh new year waiting to arrive, there was plenty of hopeful speculation concerning possible stories that might unfold throughout the upcoming episodes. One popular hypothetical was the pairing of Abby and Ziva in an undercover mission. While they aren’t technically undercover, Abby and Ziva come the closest to a professional partnership that they will likely ever get for the remainder of the season.

Ziva takes it upon herself to act as a surrogate to Lydia Wade (Kirsten Prout), a teenage girl whose father was murdered during the kidnapping of her best friend, Rosie. Abby and Ziva both work with Lydia to help her identify the men responsible. Where Cote de Pablo’s performance lacked an emotional »

Coming Soon to NCIS: Tony Sr., McGee's Dad, Eli David & More

29 November 2012 12:22 PM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

In addition to the return of Tobias and Diane on December 11, NCIS is bringing back another recurring favorite one week later, while making plans to introduce some intriguing new characters in the new year.

These items have already been reported elsewhere, but we've compiled them here:

On the December 18 Christmas episode, none other than Robert Wagner returns as Tony’s dad, Anthony Sr. As a bonus, for the first time ever, “We see Tony’s apartment,” Cote de Pablo (Ziva) tells TV Guide.

What surprises await there? “The bed he sleeps in,” she laughs. “That’s all I’m going to say!”

Elsewhere on the fatherly front, come 2013, “Plan on meeting McGee’s dad, the Admiral, in a compelling, emotional story during February sweeps,” executive producer Gary Glasberg tells TV Line.

In that episode, “Abby will be a comforting shoulder for McGee to lean on during tough times.”

Meanwhile, Ziva's »

Cote de Pablo Teases New NCIS Dynamic Duo

26 November 2012 2:04 PM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

TV's #1 drama has big things in store for Ziva and Tony ... and for Ziva and Abby.

We know. Didn't see that coming, did you? Let's start with the latter pairing first.

Cote de Pablo tells TV Line that "Gone" features her character and Pauley Perrette's forensic wiz like never before: “It’s the first time they actually put those two characters together in an episode just about them.”

The abduction of a girl whose friend Lydia (guest Kirsten Prout) witnessed the kidnapping is the impetus for the dynamic duo being paired up, and it sounds like we can expect them to rally around the youngster.

"They get Abby outside the lab, we’re in Gibbs’ house ... It was fun working that dynamic with Pauley [Perrette] ... We need to keep her protected, and as we do there’s bonding between the three women."

Elsewhere, tomorrow night’s episode again finds Tony »

NCIS Cast Speaks on Season 10, Characters, Each Other

8 November 2012 8:50 AM, PST | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

The eight cast members of NCIS assembled for one giant interview with TV Guide this week.

Perhaps not surprisingly, leading man Mark Harmon had the least to say, leaving the commentary to his more loquacious colleagues (cough, Michael Weatherly). We kid, but the gang did call him out on his silence.

Below are portions from the group sit-down with TV Guide, which sounds like it was a lot of fun. The actors discuss their thoughts on the current season, their respective characters, their favorite episodes and more:

TV Guide: How often are all eight of you in the same room?

David McCallum: Table reads, every 10 days.

Tvg: Have there been any scenes in which you've all been together at once?

McCallum: When Ziva became a U.S. citizen.

Pauley Perrette: Everybody wasn't there. Michael wasn't. But for Jenny's funeral, we were.

McCallum: And that was the last episode of. »

1. Describe this episode in one word (or two, or three, or four).

Steve: Amusing and intriguing.

Matt: My favorite this fall.

Eric: I heart McTony.

2. Best quotes or scenes from "Lost at Sea"?

Steve: Had to be Tony and Tim asking out Borin. It was made funnier by the fact that she was in on it, but Tim's cringe-worthy delivery in particular (with Tony actually cringing) was hilariously awkward.

Matt: It was early and could be quickly forgotten given everything that transpired after, but I loved »

NCIS Star Mark Harmon Finally a Star!

2 October 2012 5:19 PM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

After a nearly 40 year career in film and television, NCIS star Mark Harmon has been honored with a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Harmon was joined by his NCIS co-stars, the series has just kicked off its tenth season with absolutely no sign of slowing down.  Harmon's career in practically minted in Television, but he has been featured in several features as well; among his quirkier roles, Harmon played "Newspaper Reporter" in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and stood in for Mickey Knox in faux video reconstruction  footage for Oliver Stone's ultra-violent Natural Born Killers.

"He was one of the first to say it's our duty, as a family, that when someone's having a bad day we need to carry them through."  Co-star Cote de Pablo said at the event. "That kind of attitude is very team-oriented."

Harmon has received tons of praise from earlier co-stars in the past, »

'NCIS': Season 10 opens with 'Extreme Prejudice' - what to watch for

25 September 2012 2:07 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

"NCIS" ended its ninth season in literally explosive fashion, with vengeful financier-turned-terrorist Harper Dearing planting a bomb at NCIS headquarters and putting the entire team in jeopardy.

When Season 10 opens Tuesday (Sept. 25), fans will see the immediate aftermath of the bombing and the renewed hunt for Dearing (guest star Richard Schiff), who's not done with his campaign. Here's of what you can expect in the premiere, titled "Extreme Prejudice."

The investigation isn't easy -- or quick. The bomb doesn't destroy the building, but it inflicts some pretty heavy damage -- leaving Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Co. a few steps behind. The episode covers several months of time, from the date of the bombing up to Tuesday, putting the show in sync with the calendar.

Ducky's fate revealed. Ducky (David McCallum) wasn't in the building when the bomb went off, but upon hearing the news he suffered a heart attack. While »

Fall TV Preview: NCIS Star Says 'This Is the Year' for Tony/Ziva — Plus: More Explosive Aftermath

When CBS’ NCIS kicks off Season 10 tonight at 8/7c, from the debris of the Navy yard bombing will rise something many fans have waited for.

But first, a Spoiler Alert, because this preview simply cannot avoid revealing who all survived the explosion – not that the well-reported re-signing of several cast members over the summer left anything up in the air.

“That’s just the nature of the business,” showrunner Gary Glasberg shrugs when asked about Michael Weatherly, Sean Murray, Pauley Perrette and David McCallum each making headlines by inking new deals, effectively affirming their characters’ mortality. “All I can do »

NCIS Exclusive: Gary Glasberg on Tony & Ziva, Ptsd, Series Endgame

22 September 2012 7:22 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

When we last left our favorite team on CBS’ long-running drama NCIS, a bomb exploded with the lives of several of our team in jeopardy, with vengeful bad guy Harper Dearing (Richard Schiff) still on the loose and Ducky (David McCallum) collapsing on a beach after what appeared to be a heart attack.

While there’s no real doubt that the team will bounce back, how will the bombing affect them long-term, and will bad boy Dearing finally get his due? TV Fanatic’s Jim Halterman went to the man with the answers, Gary Glasberg, Executive Producer of NCIS, for some grilling ...

---------------------------------------

TV Fanatic: So what is your theme for NCIS Season 10, if there is one?

Gg: The theme that we’ve sort of been running with is fallen heroes and that picks up with the explosion that they go through, with the post-traumatic stress that they all experienced because of that. »

Cote de Pablo Teases What's Next For Tiva on NCIS

5 September 2012 6:38 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

NCIS Season 10 kicks off September 25, and the premiere promises to be worth the wait.

Perhaps first and foremost among the many burning questions heading into the new season? What's next for Ziva and Tony, a pair whose chemistry has been off the charts since she was first introduced, but whose relationship status has sparked strong debate in recent years among the show's fan base.

Cote de Pablo (Ziva) recently spoke to Hitfix about her character and that very subject.

On the subject of whether Tony and Ziva will get together, she said:

"I don't know, but it's definitely going to be more explored. [Fans] want more things to happen between these characters. And I think the writers are on board, and they want more things to happen. And I think it will."

On where we pick up when NCIS Season 10 begins:

"Well, the cliffhanger is that we were stuck in an elevator. »

HitFix Interview: Cote de Pablo hints at what's to come on 'NCIS'

4 September 2012 11:24 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

"NCIS" returns for its tenth season in just a few weeks (Tues. Sept. 25, 8:00 p.m.), but the premiere promises to be worth the wait. In last season's finale, Dr. Ryan (Jamie Lee Curtis) went into hiding, Ducky (David McCallum) had an apparent heart attack, and a bomb tore apart NCIS headquarters. That explosive ending killed Jonathan Cole (Scott Wolf), while Ziva (Cote de Pablo) and Tony (Michael Weatherly) were trapped in an elevator. NCIS Show-Runner Hints at Tiva Taking Things "Further"

2 August 2012 8:41 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

It looks like Tiva worshippers may finally get their wish ... or at least come closer to it.

NCIS executive producer Gary Glasberg tells TV Guide that we may see things progress to a new level between Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo) in Season 10.

One way or another, post-bombing trauma may bring the duo closer than ever.

"The elevator scenes are so good," Glasberg says of the opening episode, which finds them trapped after Richard Schiff's Harper Dearing detonated a car bomb outside NCIS HQ.

"[Tony and Ziva] can't help but be affected by this in a certain way, and they will continue to reach out to each other because of the connection they have as friends and as coworkers."

"There are definitely 'moments.' I'd like to take things a little further along than we have [in the past]."

What do you think those moments will consist of? Or should consist of? »

'NCIS' Season 10: Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette and Sean Murray all returning

11 July 2012 2:44 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

The "NCIS" gang is back together for Season 10 after Pauley Perrette, Sean Murray and Michael Weatherly have all agreed to continue with the show.

The three actors, whose contracts were up at the end of last season, have all signed new two-year deals to remain on the CBS hit, Deadline reports. Their signings means the show's cast will remain intact for next season -- and could impact the resolution to May's cliffhanger finale.

When the finale aired -- the episode ended with a bomb going off at the NCIS office -- Weatherly, Murray and Perrette were all unsigned (David McCallum's contract was also up, but he negotiated a new deal in April). The new contracts likely mean that everyone will survive the bombing -- though the aftermath might take a little while to resolve.

Mark Harmon, Cote de Pablo, Rocky Carroll and Brian Dietzen all have deals in place for next season as well. »

Diane Neal Returning to NCIS This Fall

27 June 2012 8:10 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Diane Neal, who plays U.S. Coast Guard investigator Abigail Borin on NCIS, from time to time, will be playing her at least one more time this coming year. TV Line confirmed she will return in Season 10.

The Law & Order: Svu veteran, who can also be seen this summer on USA's Suits, first appeared in Season 7 of the CBS procedural as Leroy Jethro Gibbs' redheaded Cgis counterpart.

She's made several appearances since.

Neal's last visit came early in NCIS Season 9, when she assisted on a case - and in the team's hunt for a perfect match for Gibbs (the team and more than a few fans feel Borin herself would qualify).

“It is the most fun place to work,” Neal said of the show, listing Pauley Perrette, Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly as friends and calling leading man Mark Harmon “the nicest man in TV."
