Kestrin lived in Taipei, Taiwan where she recorded voice overs and sang professionally while learning to speak Mandarin.

Her acting work has appeared at Sundance, Cannes, & SXSW International Festivals and won awards at Malibu Film Festival. She works on Nickelodeon's Emmy nominated "Ni Hao, Kai Lan" & appears in numerous critically acclaimed music videos, films, plays, & commercials. She performs and studies at the Upright Citizens Brigade and The Groundlings

Kestrin is a classically trained cellist and vocalist. She has worked with ground-breaking artists Soko, Adam Freeland, Brandi Carlile, Cary Brothers (Grammy Award winning "Garden State" soundtrack), Rob Dickinson (The Catherine Wheel), Weezer, and Beck, and has licensed music to MTV's "Jersey Shore" and "Kourtney and Khloe", Lifetime's "Rita Rocks", and sings the theme song for ABC Family's "Roommates".

She recently scored the new PBS film "Same Difference", and is a member of the band, his Orchestra, with Douglas Smith (Big Love) & Raviv Ullman
