New Kids on the Block

Trivia:

Originally called "Nynuk", a name that made the boys cringe, Columbia Records stated they saw no market for the band with such a name when they signed them to a one-record deal in 1985. The group subsequently settled on the name "New Kids On The Block" after a rap song that Donnie had written for their debut album which was released October 1986. See more trivia »
