Here's an entertaining fan-made short film called First Person: Iron Man featuring Iron Man on the hunt for Captain America, and it's all told from the hero's point of view. The video comes to us from Danny Shepherd of ismahawk, and he describes the short as Captain America: Civil War meets Hardcore Henry. The short turned out to be pretty cool and the team that made it did a solid job executing their concept. It'd be fun to see them take the concept and turn it into a web-series. ...

Unlike most editions of Fun With Short Films today I don’t cover just one movie, I cover a series of ‘webisodes’ that make up Nightwing: The Series. All characters will be familiar to superhero aficionados and fans of the DC universe.
Before we dig into the meat and bones of the series it’s important we examine the specifics of how it was made and who it was made by. First and foremost, Nightwing: The Series has absolutely zero affiliation with DC. It is a fan film made by a group out of Las Vegas called ismahawk that is made up of Danny Shepherd and Jeremy Le – a couple of self described nerds.
If you watch the series you will notice the high production value – completely debunking your usual perception of a fan film. This is in part to the huge budget (for a fan film) received as part of a Kickstarter campaign.

Earlier this year we got a first look at Danny Shepherd and Jeremy Le's Nightwing: The Series, and now a full trailer has been released for their upcoming fan-made web series. Shepherd and Le funded the project through Kickstarter, and I'm pretty impressed with what they've done with such a small budget. We already know the villain Deathstroke will also be featured in the three part web-series, and it looks like there will be a few other characters from the DC...

Young filmmakers Danny Shepherd and Jeremy Le released a Nightwing short film back in 2012, which garnered more than a million hits, prompting them to start a Kickstarter campaign to make their own fan-made series for the character. It's been a while since we've heard from them, but now they're back with a first look at the next evolution of their venture. With a nano-budget of $30,000, they've upped their equipment, costumes, etc. to bring the highest...

The team behind the Nightwing fan film Batman: Nightwing are back with a Star Wars short that they shot called Star Wars with Lens Flares. We've seen a lot of Star Wars lens flare videos since it was announced that J.J. Abrams would be directing Star Wars, but I seriously don't think he's going to use them in the film, that's a Star Trek staple, and I'm sure he'll come up with a new look and feel for Star Wars.
The film was directed by Danny Shepherd, and here's what he had to say about it...
A short action scene centering around the force abilities of a Sith vs. a Jedi, But of course, what's a Star Wars fight without some good old fashioned lightsabers actiony goodness!
We are huge Star Wars fans and knew we had to make a video once we found out Jj Abrams would be directing Episode VII.

Kickstarter is a great tool for filmmakers because it gives fans the opportunity to support projects that would otherwise not make it to theaters, television, or major websites. This Nightwing series is a prime example of that. Fans and filmmakers Danny Shepherd and Jeremy Le released a Nightwing short film earlier this year and got almost a million hits. From that support, they decided to venture out to make the DC hero his very own series. For those of you who don't know, Nightwing is...

Here's a fan-made short film for Nightwing that was inspired by Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises. The movie was made for a few hundred bucks by Jeremy Le and Danny Shepherd. Here's the note they posted on YouTube with the video:
In honor of The Dark Knight Rises coming out, we decided to make a short film based on one of my personal favorite DC/ Batman characters; Batmans old sidekick, "Nightwing".
We were really inspired by Christopher Nolans world as well as the amazing game "Batman Arkham City", so hopefully that'll show through.
We had a lot of fun making it even though we only had a few hundred bucks as a budget and not a whole lot of time to put it together! We would love to revisit it again someday!
There's nothing groundbreaking or mind-blowing here, just a fun fan-made short that hopefully some fans will enjoy.
