Jacob Black/Taylor Lautner: Breaking Dawn Part 2 Poster

Breaking Dawn Part 2 poster: Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black Taylor Lautner returns as the shapeshifter / werewolf Jacob Black in one of three The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 character posters released earlier today. The other two Breaking Dawn Part 2 posters star red-eyed newborn vampire Kristen Stewart and golden-eyed centenarian vampire Robert Pattinson. Since vampires are immortal, all three posters feature the tagline "Forever." Now, I don’t think werewolves live forever. Jacob’s poster should read "For now," especially considering how his affections shift from Bella to another key character in Breaking Dawn Part 2. Directed by Kinsey / DreamgirlsBill Condon from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg (based on Stephenie Meyer’s novel), Breaking Dawn 2 is the final installment in the Twilight Saga film series. The other two Breaking Dawn Part 2 posters feature Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner. Since vampires are immortal, all three have the tagline "Forever." (Though I’m not sure that would apply to werewolf Jacob Black.) Bruised Kristen Stewart: Bella Hunting/Breaking Dawn 2

5 May 2012 4:00 PM, PDT | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Kristen Stewart tumbled? Life imitates art once again. At the end of Twilight, Bella Swan goes to the prom wearing a cast. In order to dance, she must climb on top of Edward Cullen’s feet, so he can sway to the music for both of them. Well, it turns out that Bella herself, Kristen Stewart, has hurt her foot while working on The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 reshoots, or "pickup shots" or "additional shots" or whatever you want to call them. On Friday, Stewart told The Tonight Show’s Jay Leno that the additional work on Breaking Dawn 2, which took place in Vancouver this past week, was mostly focused on the hunting sequences in the beginning of the film. Bella’s hunting scenes to be exact. (Please scroll down to watch the Kristen Stewart / Jay Leno video.) Remember, Bella was transformed into a vampire at the end of »

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Breaking Dawn 2 Reshoots

29 April 2012 6:03 PM, PDT | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Robert Pattinson: Breaking Dawn 2 "reshoots" Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Michael Sheen are back in Vancouver for the Breaking Dawn – Part 2 "reshoots" — or rather, "pickup shots." A couple of weeks ago, Breaking Dawn director Bill Condon announced that he, Pattinson, Stewart, and cinematographer Guillermo Navarro would be heading back to Vancouver to work for a few days on a handful of shots. (Inevitably, there are already Twitter stories claiming that Pattinson’s bodyguard assaulted a couple of people upon Pattinson’s arrival.) Bill Condon’s companion, Jack Morrissey, later explained that Condon had not been responsible for the missing (or mismatched) footage, placing the blame on Breaking Dawn 2’s second-unit crew. "The coming additional photography is stuff that was conceived, developed, and was to be executed by the second unit during the period of principal photography," Morrissey told his podcast listeners. "For various reasons, it was not executed by the second unit … So, »

Taylor Lautner Breaking Dawn 2 Photo

26 April 2012 12:52 PM, PDT | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Taylor Lautner, Breaking Dawn 2 Taylor Lautner’s Jacob Black — not shirtless, sorry — gives you The (Were)Wolf Look in this The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 photo released earlier today. Another just-released Breaking Dawn 2 image shows Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen and Bella Swan-Cullen wearing vampire contacts while looking into the distance. In Catherine Hardwicke’s Twilight, Lautner had a minor supporting role as a teenager infatuated with Bella Swan (then still a human). He became a full-fledged leading man in Chris Weitz’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon and David Slade’s The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, in which he and Pattinson’s vampire fight for Bella’s hand, body, love, and life. (It’s really all that.) In Breaking Dawn 2, things are different because Bella is no longer human. As a vampire, she’s out of Jacob’s reach; but then again, he seems to have lost interest. »

Directed by Kinsey / DreamgirlsBill Condon from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg (based on Stephenie Meyer’s bestselling novel), Breaking Dawn 2 is the final installment of the Twilight movie series. In Breaking Dawn 2, Bella Swan-Cullen (Stewart) has become a vampire. Her husband, Edward Cullen (Pattinson), has been a vampire for a long time; something like nine decades or so. But if you’re a vampire you don’t grow old, you don’t become impotent, and that means you can still procreate. The result of all those evolutionary traits is Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy), a hybrid human-vampire baby who, like so many creatures »

Breaking Dawn 2 Teaser Poster

23 April 2012 1:03 PM, PDT | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Breaking Dawn 2 teaser poster The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2's teaser poster is the blue version of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1's teaser poster. It's easy to see why Summit Entertainment (now part of Lionsgate) opted to have the red version for Breaking Dawn 1 and the blue one for Breaking Dawn 2. Had it been the other way around, people might think they were looking at the teaser poster for Dan Bradley / Chris Hemsworth / Josh Hutcherson's Red Dawn, which also opens next November — but that features nasty North Korean soldiers instead of nasty European vampires. Those with a good eye will notice another difference in the Breaking Dawn 2 poster: But it's in Italian! Is that because of the Volturi? No, silly. For starters, the poster is in Spanish. And no, it's not in honor of some ancient Mexican or Chilean vampire. It's merely a marketing-savvy approach to »

Twilight Breaking Dawn 2: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Additional Photography

Kristen Stewart as the vampire Bella Swan, Breaking Dawn Part 2 The previously announced The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 "reshoots" should actually be called "additional photography" or "pickup shots," according to Jack Morrissey, director Bill Condon's companion. (One site explains: "Condon is openly guy [sic].") In the Twilight Examiner, Amanda Bell has transcribed much of a Morrissey podcast on the upcoming Breaking Dawn 2 shoot. Among the key points discussed by Morrissey is that filming — involving Condon, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Michael Sheen (who plays one of the Volturi vampires) — should take place in Vancouver within the next two weeks and that this additional work should last about four days. Morrissey adds that the issue wasn't anything done — or not done — by Condon ("Nothing that he directed has been reshot or will be reshot…"), placing the blame squarely on the second unit crew. Hotel for Dogs, Held for Ransom, and I Know What You Did Last Summer are all based on Duncan novels. [Bella kissing Edward in Breaking Dawn 2.] According to online rumors, the Breaking Dawn 2 pick-up scenes will be shot April 30-May 3. Kristen Stewart/Vampire Bella Swan: Beautiful Breaking Dawn 2 Poster

28 March 2012 11:56 AM, PDT | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Kristen Stewart as The New Bella Swan, Breaking Dawn 2 poster Does this look like a vampish Bella Swan? I think it does. This "fan-made" poster featuring Kristen Stewart as the transformed Bella Swan-Cullen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 was created by Deviant artist RyoDambar. Bella looks human — in the sense that she could walk around town without having people flee for their lives — while at the same time looking different. Whereas Summit Entertainment had their makeup people throw tons of white powder on the faces of the Twilight movie vampires, the look of this Vampire Bella is quite subtle. As it should be. In fact, Stewart's Bella looks like a character out of one of the classier Hammer productions. Breaking Dawn 2 Trailer: Robert Pattinson/Kristen Stewart/Bella Mystery

Breaking Dawn 2 teaser trailer: Robert Pattinson/Edward Cullen and the mysterious Kristen Stewart/Bella Swan's hair The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 teaser trailer (please scroll down) — actually a flash-teaser of the upcoming BD2 teaser trailer — doesn't offer much to see or hear: Taylor Lautner/Jacob Black says to Kristen Stewart/Bella Swan-Cullen, "I didn't expect … you seem so … You," while Robert Pattinson/Edward Cullen whispers to her "We're the same temperature now." (Certainly not the same temperature as the Twifans watching him.) Building on the suspense for those who haven't seen the Breaking Dawn 2 Target clips, Bella — now a vampire stronger than Superman, Iron Man, and The Incredible Hulk combined — remains unseen in the teaser, which also features some ominous music. Kristen Stewart/Robert Pattinson Vampire Kiss: Breaking Dawn 2 Clip

14 March 2012 5:50 PM, PDT | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson kissing, Breaking Dawn 2 The Hunger Games has been beaten — by Target stores. The eagerly anticipated (you know who you eager anticipators are) teaser trailer for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 will premiere on March 23, before screenings of Gary Ross' The Hunger Games, which stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth. But brief moments from Breaking Dawn 2 featuring both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart covered in white powder have already been glimpsed at Target stores. Why Target? Who the hell knows? In the video below, you get to see a perfectly un-coiffed Jackson Rathbone, plus Julia Jones and Booboo Stewart introducing the brief Breaking Dawn 2 clips. Pattinson, Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are then seen discussing something or other about the making of the film. Major problem: the sounds sucks. Robert Pattinson/Kristen Stewart Hair: First Breaking Dawn 2 Photo

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart's hair, Breaking Dawn 2 Summit Entertainment — or is it Lionsgate now? — has released the first image from the eagerly twanticipated The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. As you can see above, the BD2 picture stars Robert Pattinson's face and Kristen Stewart's hair. A curious choice for a "first-look" at Edward and Bella. Breaking Dawn Part 2, which will inevitably become one of the top two or three biggest blockbusters of 2012, opens November 16. Competition is fierce for the no. 1 spot: Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises opens in July. The third installment in Nolan's Batman franchise brings back Christian Bale (now an Oscar winner) as the Caped Crusader, in addition to Anne Hathaway (as Catwoman), Marion Cotillard, Tom Hardy (as Bane), and others. So, which fangy creatures will win the box-office game? Bats or vampires? We shall see. Directed by Bill Condon and adapted by »

Robert Pattinson/Kristen Stewart Breaking Dawn 1: DVD Blockbuster

13 February 2012 5:32 PM, PST | Alt Film Guide | See recent Alt Film Guide news »

Breaking Dawn 1 Blu-ray: Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson Studios have been complaining about decreasing DVD sales in the last several years. Perhaps they should put out more DVD/Blu-ray versions of The Twilight Saga. Despite marked-up prices, this pre-Valentine's Day weekend the Kristen Stewart-Robert Pattinson-Taylor Lautner blockbuster The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 sold 3.2 million DVD/Blu-ray units — an 18% increase over the previous Twilight release. David Slade's Eclipse, which came out in December 2010, sold 2.7 million copies on its first weekend out. It gets better: Breaking Dawn 1 resulted in 50,000 digital copies sold and 80,000 rentals via Video on Demand, representing increases over Eclipse of 47% and 142%, respectively. Now, Chris Weitz's New Moon sold 4 million copies in March 2010 and Catherine Hardwicke's Twilight sold 3.8 million copies in March of the previous year. That's about 20% and 16% above Breaking Dawn 1's sales, respectively. Since I couldn't find digital copy figures for either title, »
