Willem started his first creative collaboration at the age of 10 as keyboard-player, singer songwriter, in order to set up his first digital entertainment company named 'Warp'.

At the age of 22 Willem was admitted to the Netherlands Film and Television academy, focusing on national and international feature film production. Next to this Willem directed several smaller projects and films.

In 1996 Willem became president of the Harmonicaat 'Art' foundation, and in 1999 vice-president of the Plinc 'digital entertainment' foundation. In 2000 Willem became director of Plinq a daughter company of Plinc and Framfab.

In 2001 he was in the creative board of start-up Hyperserial International.

In 2006 he received a Golden Gate Special Award 2006 in Berlin for his writing, directing and producing efforts on the historical digital cinema-scope production 'A House of Orange'. The film was released in the first digital cinema of the Netherlands.

He has worked on several gaming projects in The Hague, Amsterdam, Hilversum and Los Angeles.
