Kacey Barnfield Unleashed On DVD This August In Syfy Horror Roadkill

Rhi Entertainment and Vivendi Entertainment will be releasing SyFy's 'Roadkill' (part of their Maneater Series) onto DVD from 16 August. More middle of nowhere horror ensues when an unsuspecting group of weekend partyers fall prey to an ancient creature. British director Johannes Roberts ('When Evil Calls', 'F') helms the project from a script penned by Rick Suvalle. It stars Stephen Rea ('The Reaping', 'Stuck'), sexy Brit Eliza Bennett ('F'), Colin Maher, Oliver James, Diarmuid Noyes, Ned Dennehy and Eve Macklin. The Sexy Kacey Barnfield Gets Airdate For Her New Syfy Horror TV Movie Roadkill

The Irish-filmed 'Roadkill', a new Syfy TV movie, is set to air on the channel stateside on 23 April at 9:00pm. It stars the gorgeous Kacey Barnfield (below), whom we never get tired of featuring here at the Horror Asylum. Kacey is taking her acting career well into the genre, which we like, with already credits in 'Resident Evil: Afterlife' and the upcoming 'Jabberwocky' under her belt. This isn't her first Syfy TV movie either after having appeared topless and in all her naked glory in gator sequel 'Lake Placid 3' last year. Tom Fontana On Upcoming Series 'Borgia'

The Canadian TV series The Borgias will compete in 2011 with the French TV series Borgia. Tom Fontana, the show's creator, talks about what we should expect from it.

The series Borgia, which was created by Tom Fontana (Oz; The Philantropist) will be aired in France on CanalPlus, a French premium cable network. As for the Canadian series, it will be on Showtime and CTV, which are respectively an American premium cable network and a Canadian TV network.

The series takes place during the Renaissance in Italy. It follows Rodrigo Borgia (John Doman), who will be the most corrupt pope in history. He will also go down in history with his children: Juan (Stanley Weber), the oldest, a prideful, a sexual predator with no shame; Cesare (Mark Ryder), a violent man; Lucretia (Isolda Dychauk), a young girl

Limited Release For Grand Pictures' 'Situations Vacant'

Grand Pictures, in association with Park Films, are to release 'Situations Vacant' on digital only format in cinemas across the country on Friday, December 4th. The feature length Irish comedy is a humorous examination of job-hunting in contemporary Ireland. The film was written by Dubliner Steven Murray, produced by Anne Marie Naughton (Tara Road) and stars Diarmuid Noyes (Five Minutes of Heaven), Sam Corry (The Clinic), Shaun Dunne (Hoodies), Mary Murray (Eamon), stage actress Julie O'Halloran and Lorna Dempsey (Fairycatcher).

First Yellow Fever Film Festival held in Belfast

The first annual Yellow Fever Independent Film Festival was held last weekend at the Stormont Hotel in Belfast. Throughout two days audiences were invited to enjoy a large array of film screenings, workshops, Q&A sessions with filmmakers and other exclusive events. The Yfiff award winners were Wyatt Weed - Best Director for 'Shadowland',others included 'Situations Vacant' chosen in the category of Best Film, 'Somebody to Love' for Best Short Film. 'Isle of the Damned' for Best international Film, 'Death in D-Minor' won in the category of Best Local Film, 'One Last Song' won Best Cinematography and 'Bodyguard A New Beginning' came away with the Audience Choice Award. In the acting categories, Diarmuid Noyes won the Best Actor award in 'Situations Vacant' and Lynette Callaghan was awarded the Best Actress gong for her lead role as Rachel in Brian Lally's feature film '

"Five Minutes of Heaven" - First poster in.

We have the first poster in from "Five Minutes of Heaven," the winner of the Directing Award World Cinema as well as the Screenwiring Award at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival. Oliver Hirschbiegel ("The Invasion," "Das Experiment," "Downfall") helms from the writing by Guy Hibbert ("Saigon Baby," "The Russian Bride").
